Very comfortable and nice apartment. Sonia was very helpful and always available for any information. She provided a lot of insight and the apartment was also located very close to all the sights. I highly recommend Sonia’s place for anybody visiting Catania

The location is outstanding, close to mini-markets, bakeries, pedestrian areas, to a fish and food market and a few minutes walk away from the Piazza Borsellino bus station where almost any bus you care about stops. It's also in a pretty clean and safe side road with not much traffic. The apartment was clean, the rooms are big and tall, the kitchen has new equipment and was invaluable in the mornings and at lunch. The host was very nice and helpful and gave us a long list of excellent suggestions on where to go for food and entertainment around the apartment and around the city.

The place is on the ground floor and the front door opens into the street. There's nothing particularly wrong with that and it's actually quite common around Catania: there are lots of narrow streets with apartments on the ground floor; but it's something to be aware of. The front door has two medium shutters that open to reveal a large window with ornate grill bars, we usually left the shutters open early in morning or in the afternoon when we were at home and covered them with a sheet for some privacy from any potential passerby. We were concerned about the windows situation prior to coming to the place, but there are two large windows (about 1m² each) above the front door (a transom window) and in the bedroom, that open at the top and provide sufficient air current, though not natural light. The noise from the outside, the one-off people voices or occasional passing cars or mopeds could be an issue, but it didn't bother us because we didn't really stay in the apartment during the day, and during the night everything was pretty quiet, though we usually got up early in the mornings during our stay.

In a certain age you might get rounder, unfortunately. The bathroom, perfectly equipped was too small for me

No cupboards or lockers for clothes except for the cupboard in which the cleaning products are kept in the kitchen. Daylight only partially through the glazed entrance door and two small glass openings high up in the bedroom.

The place has the perfect location, close to most of Catania attractions. It was clean and equiped with everything necessary. The host is one of the nicest, I have ever collaborated with, and we were provided with the perfect guide and benefits to it. I strongly recommend this place!

I recently stayed at Theatron House and overall, it was a decent experience. One thing that stood out to me was the owner, Sonia, who was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. She was always available to answer questions and provide recommendations for things to do in the area, which really added to my overall enjoyment of the trip. Additionally, the location of the house is fantastic - right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of many of the main attractions.

The room was not suitable for 4 male friends (but maybe this was my fault). It is ok for a family maybe. The pillows were not comfortable.

Super location and very helpful host. Maybe little louder from street but its centrum and Italy 😉

The host was great, is a comfortable place in a really good location near the piazza. Would book it again for sure
