Contrary to most people preferences, this accommodation is located a 40 minute walk to the city center, which means there are almost no tourists and you really get to see how Italians live and behave. A small beach with black sand and rocky shore is located about 15 mins from the house, there are pastry shops, small boutiques and grocery stores located on your way there. City buses dont really exist {they ususally just dont arrive or are 20 minutes early} so stick to your feet.

Cosy and convenient apartment not far from the city centre and other attractions. As we liked to walk, we used to get to the centre, to bus terminals or railway stations on foot; it took 20-30 minutes. Bus service is good enough. Hosts proposed transfer from the airport (extra fee) which was appreciated. Apartment has everything you need and even more. It suits for family use or for a company of four people. I recommend pizzerias (there are at least two of them in 100 m). Special bonus - paintings on the walls and books about arts; we liked them very much.

The area is untidy, a lot of garbage on the street (typical for Sicily). The bathroom could have been better isolated from the rest of the rooms. It would be great to use a balcony (after its renovation).
