Location was great

Cluttered and could use some love and touch ups

Location was great. Had heaps of space to relax in. Great to have laundry facilities. Beds very clean and comfortable.

Needed better cleaning overall

A lot of spider webs in the house. This house would be good if this would be thoroughly cleaned.

The heritage nature of the property has been maintained with furniture etc reflecting the properties' era. Good space and well priced

The property was quite dusty in a couple of rooms. Better dusting/vacuuming between stays would be good.

It is situated in Fairlie which was not too far away from Geraldine & nice drive to Mt Cook. We felt we had gone back in time when we entered the house! Even had vinyl records which were great to play & remember past decades of great music. It is a short walk to the bakery in the main street…….great coffee & pies! We were very comfortable & enjoyed our stay!

Location is great! Hosts are exceptional and easy to contact, community felt safe and quiet.

While I was aware that this property was older and a character home I was not expecting to feel uneasy. I think this is due to my lack of research and no fault of the property owner. If you love heritage/character homes you will thoroughly enjoy this property. A lot of history here. Was a little worried to use some appliances etc. due to the age of the home.

very homely and comfortable, Everything was there and I loved the books, board games and all the vinyl. We have the same taste in music it seems. Also liked the interesting info on the original owners.

2 things. It was really dirty, not organic dirty, but dust inches thick, splatters on the wall, the front porch was so pleasant to sit on, but was littered with old dust and twigs and stones. 2nd thing was that despite knowing we were both in wheelchairs, when we arrived on a very cold day, the fires were not cleaned out or set, and no kindling was available. We huddled around a heater we found, and next day went to buy fire starters. We left the box there. As there is a local manager, this was fairly unacceptable. We never saw or heard from her, I am not sure what she actually does. I realise we shouldn't expect special treatment just because we are in wheelchairs, but I would have expected the warmth to be available. I would go back again though, as the place was so reminiscent of my childhood years,

The history of the house - seeing how they must have lived was cool. The outside was pretty to look at as well.

It would have been nice to have a tv in the lounge instead of the bedrooms so we could have all watched a movie together at night would be my only thing.

Easy access

Had to chop our own firewood and went foraging for pine cones on the area. Need more kindlingv
