Acorn Cottage

We have returned home from a lovely weekend in the lakes. Our stay at Acorn Cottage was really wonderful. It is fully kitted out with everything you will need, a real home away from home. Love the wooden decor, the beams the doors, felt so rustic. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place was spotless.

The 2 single rooms upstairs in the loft were small, luckily the 2 people that slept up there aren't as tall as the rest of the group but it was still a bit uncomfortable to move around there. Saying that, it's still a great use of space and meant that instead of 4 people staying we could have 6 which was good. Just send your short people up there to sleep

Need for more basic cleaning stuff it's a hassle having to buy more washing liquid etc

Beds very comfortable and nice cotton bedding. Good location and good big bath. Kitchen well stocked with plenty of glasses, mugs etc

Freezer was needing to be defrosted.

Charming cottage, well equipped, great location. Welcome packs were helpful. Comfy beds.

Nothing major that I didn't like. My only comment is that the 2 attic rooms were really cosy but there is limited head room due to the sloping ceilings (my teenagers loved them though).
