"Perfect getaway spot"

10.0

Beautiful house with a lovely view over the North Yorkshire countryside. Very clean and comfortable and great for my dog to have the freedom of the full house (unlike some places where they are restricted to downstairs). Just a short walk and you are in town with lots of independent shops, pubs and a good sized and well stocked Coop.

There was nothing I didn't like about this place. However, I would say if you have mobility problems, you may struggle with the few steps up to the house. The garden was smaller than I expected from the photos but fine for what we needed.

"An Idillic Place to stay, you must go ♡♡♡♡☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆"

10.0

Excellent in every way, from the furnishings, quirky pictures from a well known artist, the little treats left by Lynne & the fabulous comfortable beds & bed linen & the amazing en suites & fluffy white towels & the fact of each bedroom has a wall mounted tv if needed and an attached sun room overlooking a beautiful garden to an uninterrupted vista of the amazing North Yorkshire Moors, there was nothing we could fault at all. Wifi was an easy connection with the password left in each bedroom clearly marked on a plastic stand in the bedrooms & tv, spoilt for choice for evening viewing if staying in as every channel & app available. The lounge very comfortable with 2 mustard wing back chairs, a small grey chair & grey 3 seater L settee & tv. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you could possibly want including a Tasssimo coffee maker, dish washer, hob, oven, microwave, kettle & fridge freezer, a seperate utility room with washer drier, toilet & washbasin. Seperate cupboard on landing housing, iron, ironing board, vaccuum & high chair. The accommodation is an upside down house, so no lugging cases upstairs, the stairs are wide & beautifully carpeted & easily navigablrme, i have spinal issues, but could navigate the stairs slowly with my stick as they are wide with bannisters, the outside in the evening as you left & returned lights came on automatically around the building as you walked & Lynne & John the owners provided a torch, which was needed when walking across & up the small incline to access town centre, even though there was 1 or 2 automatic lighting that came on there to as you passed, but advisable to take the torch.

There is nothing at all not to like, it is an incredible place to stay. As I am disabled, i would state the property would not be suitable for wheelchair users, as there are 4 stairs up to the property to a wooden deck area to access the front door & a flight of stairs to access the lounge, kitchen & utility areas. I walk with a stick, as did another member of our group, we managed the stairs slowly, as they are wide & thickly carpeted, with bannisters. If you cannot manage stairs at all, then very sadly you would not cope here. Otherwise i advise anyone to go it is such a beautiful property & offers so much comfort & those views what a delight, they say North Yorkshire is Gods own Country, which it really is & one of my favourite destinations & can honestly say so is Oaklodge House. We will be back.

"Comfortable clean property in the centre of Leyburn with beautifyl views across the dales to Middleham and beyond."

9.0

Very comfortable , warm, clean, well appointed and equipped property. Beautiful views across the valley. Enjoyed our breakfast in the little conservatory off the bedroom whilst taking in the views and morning sun. Well thought out touches such as motion sensor lights around the property to assist when coming back at night. Also motion sensor light in hallway. Ample parking. Convenient location in the centre of Leyburn. Would highly recommend this property.

"Perfect house, perfect location and great value for money."

10.0

The property was in the heart of the village but tucked away in a quiet spot with outstanding views. The house had everything you could need and more, was tastefully decorated and absolutely spotless. The outdoor area was perfect for humans and dogs alike, being very secure, and again with the stunning views enjoyed from most windows in the property.
