Knockalt Cottage

Cottage was spacious and comfortable with amazing views. The only things that would improve our experience would be more mirrors, extra bins and a few wee kitchen extras ( tea, coffee sugar etc). Otherwise I would definitely reccomend Knockalt cottage for a relaxing stay in a beautiful part of Donegal .

Ensuite was a bit dated

House was lovely , with exceptional view. Would highly recommend. Owners were on hand to help with anything.

Was just a wee bit far out of the village with a steep hill to climb.

Lovely host to deal with, quick responses. Outstanding location in the hills behind Moville, with spectacular views. Spacious grounds, easy parking and good boundary fence for our dogs. Nice country walks from the property, and only about 5 minute drive into the town (car a must). A relaxing experience all round.

We would have appreciated bath mats and more towel rail space.

Fabulous cottage, exceptionally clean, spacious, with beautiful views and not too far from the town. Lovely comfortable bed, cosy fire for cooler nights. Perfect space for the dogs to enjoy and for quiet walks.

Lovely location. Very peaceful. Cottage very spacious for us all (8 people in total). 2 great size living room/dining room. Everything inside was easily worked. Great to have a washing machine especially when weather wasn’t that great and plenty of muddy clothes. Very friendly cat liked to visit. Host was very contactable and answered promptly any questions we asked.

Unfortunately dining table was only suitable for 6 people. Maybe a couple of fold up chairs that can be used when 8 folk staying.

Stunning location, wonderful hosts, perfect for our family and dog. Large, secure garden for the dog to enjoy his holiday. You won’t want to watch TV, you’ll just want to stare at the loch and changing sky, especially at sunrise and sunset. Plenty of turf provided for the fire in the cooler evenings. Kitchen has everything you need and beds are very comfy. Small adjoining farm so you can say hi to the 3 or 4 sheep over the garden fence at the back. Hosts are very knowledgeable, friendly and available without being too intrusive. We had a perfect stay and will be back.

It didn’t bother us, but it’s a couple of miles walk into town. Petrol stations locally have great shopping on site due to the rural location. Great food and drink in Moville, and nearby beaches are stunning and safe for swimming. I can’t find anything to complain about at all!

We had the most wonderful few days here for St Patrick’s day. The kids loved being able to run around the spacious garden and the turf fire made the evenings super cosy!

The house was great. Basic but comfortable and had everything we needed.
