Marriners Luxury Guesthouse

The accomodation was beautifully furnished and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the views from the balcony were lovely.

Beautifully presented room, artfully decorated, stylish, quirky, gorgeous. Very spacious and everything you need in a lovely separate chalet to the main historic house. Nicely positioned on the hill with beaut views, very restful spot.. walking distance to Rawene town. If you book room early enough you can order off a delicious looking dinner menu - ( which is a huge plus as there aren't a lot of options for evening meals in town, bar a great chippy)...we only booked the day before but we're treated to some fresh mussels and a lovely salad our host was able to rustle up. Delightful helpful hostess and perfect place to spend a night or two in the Hokianga....would have loved to have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Hubby had a wee quibble with the beds softness...otherwise perfect.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Marriners. There was a severe weather warning in effect at the time and Robyn went out of her way to make things easy and comfortable for us. She wrote to warn us about the weather, offered us an early check in and then as the weather worsened offered us the ability to stay on a bit later. She also helped with route planning for our onward journey to take account of the weather. This really helped put our mind at rest and helped us relax. The accommodation itself is of a very high standard, is well equipped and is well laid out. We definitely recommend Marriners and would happily stay again.

Robyn was a great hostess, she allowed us to access the property much earlier than expected and understood our reason for checking out later than was stated. Beautifully appointed accommodation and very comfortable bed.

The property is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with views out over the Hokianga Harbour from the sheltered outside deck area. Robyn, our host, provided our evening meal which was served to us and cooked by her. It was delicious.

The home cooked meal was absolutely delicious! I recommend getting Robyn to cook for you at least one night 😊 Loved the deck area surrounded by shrubs and the view to the water. Loved how close it is to Rawene township and have to recommend eggs Benedict at the New Era Cafe there. Easy drive to Opononi.

The shower in bath, though the clawfoot bath itself was very nice to relax in.
