GBA really lovely, spacious place. Comfy bed, great shower and a view of the sea from the dining table. The kitchen had everything and more than you could need.
The track up to the accommodation is full of potholes and wouldn't suit a smaller car.

CAQuiet place
The host increased the price around 20% a week before arrival (pay or cancel/refund). He explained that there was an error on booking.com. But that happened a month after the payment. He also ignored simple questions, when I asked via booking messenger. I do not trust him. The bed is good, but the sofa is not comfortable at all. The backyard is not private, shared with another house. In general I expected more from a "house".
AUGBPeace and quiet, beautiful landscape and a very comfortable home environment. Close to sintra and the beaches, it made for a perfect holiday.
The swimming pool was too cold for us to use. But we knew it wasn't heated, so never mind. We still had a lovely time
BEThe location is well situated in the surroudings of Sintra. With a car, you can reach magnificent places and in the immediate surroundings you can make beautiful hikes.
The concept of this place, as we understand it, is that the ‘House in the Woods’ is the family house of the owners and they rent some (we don’t know how many) houses / accommodations. The pictures on booking.com are a mix of all the places together and you don’t know which one you rent. On our confirmation it, for instance, said that there would be two bathrooms but there was only one. The swimming pool is the private swimming pool of the owners. When in the pool, you look right into the owners’ living room and the children’s bedroom as they have a direct view on the pool and when home they can look at you in the pool. The house we rented was the yellow one. A house that perfectly fits a single couple. We wouldn’t recommend to two couples or to a family as there isn’t any door between the upper floor and the ground floor. The single bathroom / toilet is only accessible directly from the kitchen / lounge which doesn’t give you much privacy. The shower is rather small, so if you or your partner are tall or wide, be prepared. The bedroom is nice and spacious even if the ceiling is too low to stand straight (for tall people). The real downside for us was the water pump outside at the back of the bathroom, under the bedroom window. The pump would go on and off unexpectedly day and night. After we told the owner we had a good night of rest. The next nights the pump went on and off again, which kept us awake. Overall, this is a nice place but we think it is presented differently than what you get in reality and due to this we didn’t feel it met our expectations as we were looking for nature in a quiet environment.
FIDecor was very nice and also the location was quiet and beautiful.
One thing missing was a TV.
