Le Mimose

We feel like walking straight to a wonderful postcard, spent there 13 days and enjoyed the whole time. Le Mimose charmed us with a beautiful and large garden with views and different little places to have dinner, glass of wine, lunch or just relax. Terrace under mimosa and grapevine is very peaceful with decorative ceramic details; table and bench are almost like an art piece. Apartment itself was clean and cute with many local details, ceramic dishes ja decorations. The place is roomy and there are plenty of places for your own clothes, shoes etc. There is everything you need in bathroom and water works fine. Kitchen is very well equipped and there are good size fridge and small freeze. Apartment offers oil, coffee and sugar and there are different spices available. We worked remotely one week and then had few days holiday time. Wi-Fi worked fine with two persons in Teams meetings at the same time. Washing machine was a very nice help so we didn’t need to bring so many clothes with us. Overall, the layout was functional. Apartment is situated in Benincasa village, from 10-15 minutes with bus from Vietri Sul Mare center. Seven days local bus ticket (valid in Vietri and Salerno area) costs 12 euros, it is very cheap and easy way to travel, and you don’t’ have to buy separate tickets every time. Tips: If you zoom google maps enough, you can see the bus stops in a map. Click bus picture and see certain bus stop information, lines and timetables. Bus stop is marked (in the google map and sometimes in real life) only other side of the street. You find the bus stop for opposite direction in the other side of the road. In Benincasa goes bus 1 (via Raito) and bus 69, main stop is in piazza Matteo. Best of everything in Le Mimose are the host couple, Anna and Flavio. We felt cozy in a minute we met them and enjoyed their kindness during our stay. Anna and Flavio, you gave us wonderful memories in so many ways and we thank you again with all our hearts about EVERYTHING!

Only bad thing was, that our holiday was too short;)

Absolutely wonderful host couple Anna and Flavio! When we came to the house, there is Anna's own heavenly lemon juice waiting for us. And also homemade tomato salad, fresh ham, fresh mozzarella and bread were ready for us for the morning. And really good home-made wine. Anna also gave us pasta ingredients so that we didn't have to go to the store to buy dinner ingredients when we had driven a long way. Unbelievable hospitality! The house was really spacious and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The host couple lives upstairs and the garden is shared. However, this does not disturb in any way, the house and the garden had their own peace. Being able to wash clothes was also a big plus. It is possible to get a cheap parking space for the car, which is also a really big advantage. Flavio also arranged that the downstairs bar was kept open for us longer so that we could watch the European football championship there while the house's television was being repaired. It really warmed our heart how they take care of us. A big recommendation and a big big thank you to Anna and Flavio!

One of the pillows was in a bit of a bad shape, so maybe the pillows could be replaced. However, this did not bother us much because the bed was really good!

Note that on Sundays the bus doesn't stop in front of the house, but we walked uphill from Vietri sul Mare which was fine.

Amazing lovely hosts who went out of their way . The terrace and views are stunning. I'd love to return. The flat is very spacious ...lovely bed . The best thing is Anna shes the kindest host you could ever imagine . Book it !

Flavio & Anna were great hosts helping us with all our questions. They have a large garden with a lot of vegetables and fruit trees and a fantastic view. There is a good parking place to park and you have a 3 minute walk to the apartments but with some narrow steps. There is a bus service to Vietri and you can buy the tickets at the Bar Royal close to the bus stop. The Bar Royal sells limited food.

The apartment is beginning to show it’s years and could do with some renovation. Especially the shower was not nice; the caulking needs to be replaced and there is some mould. Also the plaster is falling off the wall above the shower tiles and is also mouldy. I mentioned this to Anna so hopefully they will get some renovations done here.

The property is located in a higher, quieter part of Vietri Sul Mare. The bed were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. However, the highlight of the stay was the beautiful gardens, where we enjoyed many breakfasts and aperitifs with stunning views over the mountains and sea. Anna and Flavio were superb hosts giving us a taste of the delicious Italian cuisine and way of life. We stayed in several accommodations during our holiday on the amalfi coast, but If I had to plan this trip again, I would stay with Flavio and Anna throughout. The close location to Salerno ferry port gives you access to all the best destination offered by the Amalfi coast without the struggle of parking (which can be very difficult)

Location was great, although difficult to get to. The massive veggie garden and view over the ocean was amazing. We loved staying with Anna and Flavio. It was like staying with distant relatives. The flat was spacious, the kitchen had everything we could need and the veggie garden was at our disposal. The terrasse with a few over the veggie garden and ocean was worth all the effort it took to get there.

It was difficult to get to, but in the end it was not a problem. Definitely glad we bought food for cooking before arriving as Benincasa only has a small grocer with limited items.

The apartment was clean, spacious and with all the amenities needed, just the fact that we were able to wash our clothes was such a relief. The house was sorrounded by a beautiful garden and we even got to try the vegies and a delicious lemonade Ana Maria prepared for us. Our hosts, Flavio and Ana Maria were beyond kind and caring. Never experienced such welcome in any other place, we felt in love with Ana Maria 😊. They provided us with all instructions to move around the city and always checked on us to make sure we were safe. From the garden you have this expectacular view where you can enjoy sunset with a nice glass of wine.

If you are not a person that likes to walk then consider it. There are buses that can take you to Vietri but no available on Sundays or holiday so you have to walk a lot, or simply consider to rent a Vespa. We had no issues walking.
