I booked this property for my family to stay in as they were coming to Reading for my daughters wedding. Nothing was really good about their experience! Bins weren't emptied. WiFi password was incorrect. Cistern wouldn't flush properly. Plumber came and didn't fix the issue as it needed parts. It wasn't fixed until my family vacated the property. My sister has mobility issue and she had to come down to use the loo. WiFi connection was very slow. Family ended up using their own data! I am extremely disappointed with this. We had to drop other important wedding priorities to chase there issues. I honestly think I am due a suitable compensation for all the issues highlighted. I did ask to view the property prior to their arrival and this was declined. I am looking forward to receiving your response and a suitable compensation.

The house was very dirty - for example stained carpets, a filthy kitchen and an overgrown garden. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilet brush holders were full of brown liquid. There was mouldy food left in the kitchen. Some of the furniture was broken. The walls and wood work was stained, scuffed and heavily marked. The beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable. The carpets did not appear to have been hoovered since the previous occupant and dirty clothes were left behind. The WIFI was very poor and kept dropping out. I contacted the hosts who initially promised to resolve the issues. This did not happen. When I requested a partial refund, they stopped responding to me.

Location is great and hosts were great at communicating throughout the whole process. Cost was good.

Sadly the house was not clean and needs a lot of TLC. There were marks on all the walls and carpet is incredibly stained in multiple places. Rubbish all outside the front of the building and the bin was full and smelly as we arrived. Our bathroom had bogey on the wall and hairs in the bath and in the bedrooms. We had to clean the whole house. The floor was covered in dirt and food. I have let the property host know as if they hired a cleaner they are not doing what is required. Blue sofa in lounge is broken and multiple dining room chairs are unsteady when sat on.

I am extremely disappointed with this property. The cleanliness was shockingly bad—carpets were absolutely filthy, dishes and cutlery were still dirty from previous guests, and it felt like no one had bothered to clean the place properly. The beds were hard and springy, comparable to prison mattresses, making it impossible to get a decent night’s sleep. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend staying here unless the owners seriously improve their cleaning standards. They need to update their photos to reflect the true condition of the property. Had I have known I would never have booked this place

The house is a good size, location was good. Great parking for two cars

With not that much more effort this house could be so much better. Investment in some new carpet and general decor much needed. The kitchen is nice, but is not equipped for the amount of guests that can stay there. A small waste paper basket is not big enough for 8 guests. A dust pan and brush would have been useful. The bedrooms are a lovely size. But the beds are so uncomfortable very poor mattresses that were lumpy, pillows also not great. The duvet’s on some of the beds were far too big for the cover it had been squeezed into and a lot of duvet was sticking out the end. The headboard on my bed was not attached to anything. The beds that are well presented and lovely in the pictures are not what you get. For a house that has a very large fine if you smoke, there were cigarette ends and a dirty ashtray on the balcony of my bedroom. In the back garden there was a large beer bottle filled to the brim with cigarette ends. Not nice.
