"Superb"

Superb location with great views on the Douro river, beautiful area with the garden. The guesthouse is well equipped, beds are comfortable, bathroom like new (or shortly after renovation). You will spend most of your stay there anyway, outside enjoying the views.

This is not a negative review, but rather information for other travelers. You rent a guest house located right next to the owners' house, also the garden or the pool is a common space, not a private exclusive. The owners are nice, and in general it is hard to meet them (busy people ;)), nevertheless you should keep this in mind when deciding to rent here

this is a very special place. the pool and the views are simply stunning. the hosts are kind and friendly.

the furniture - sofa and the beds are not very comfortable

The view was spectacular. The grounds are very well kept and relaxing. The pool was great and several place from which to view the Douro valley.

A bit tricky getting to the property the first time but easy once your familiar with it.

the view was amazing!! There were several places to sit to admire the view. The hosts were lovely and made us very welcome.

There are many steps to climb, i found it to be part of the charm. Some people with mobility may have trouble.
