Host & Stay - Dolphin Cottage 1736

It was central and clean although the bed covers on the top floor had holes and the liaison with the host was terrible.

We were sold this when we booked with parking, checked again in Feb and were told we would have a scratch permit. The day before checking we were told this wasn’t possible, never had been, although we had confirmation about this. The reason we booked was parking and it cost us £25 which the host didn’t give two hoots about and refused to answer questions apart from resending the parking details. This was disappointing and very frustrating and the lack of care or customer service was outrageous. This ruined our weekend as we were travelling with someone with an illness hence picking a central cottage and parking.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, everything was immaculate with everything you could need , lovely bedrooms with comfy beds will definitely return.

Supercute cottage in centre of whitby

No parking nor parking scratch card which this type of accommodation usually provides. We paid £24 for two days parking down at the harbour. When we were packing the car to leave one of the local shop keepers gave us a blue parking disc which he said the council provides them with to give to customers. Just be mindful there is no parking or subsidised parking for this property.

It was a good location. It was small but we knew that beforehand

The heating was a bit confusing. It was very cold in Whitby so that made it more of an issue than it normally would be

The cottage was in a perfect location, clean and lovely

We had to go out and buy kitchen roll and scourers to be able to wash the pots we used properly

The cottage was beautiful, very comfortable and in a convenient location. It was well equipped and very clean. They supplied tea, coffee and a few toiletries.

Finding the cottage itself was a little confusing. We was looking for a road and didn't realise the address was actually an entry way that led to the cottage..
