House Joel & Sonia with sea view

A nossa estadia de seis noites na casa do Sr. Joel e da Sra. Sónia foi excelente e correu tudo como planeado. Ambos são extremamente simpáticos e hospitaleiros: foram buscar-nos ao aeroporto, mostraram-nos o Funchal e deram-nos várias dicas extremamente úteis. A Sra. Sónia entregou-nos ainda um documento com o mapa da ilha, contendo percursos e sugestões de restaurantes, o que facilitou imenso, tendo permitido que aproveitássemos ao máximo a ilha da Madeira. Recomendamos vivamente esta casa e, sem dúvida, voltaremos!

Excelente vista numa zona tranquila, com restaurantes e minimercado nas proximidades. Próximo do fim do percurso dos carreiros do monte. Com todas as comodidades e estacionamento privado o que é muito útil na Madeira devido à falta de estacionamento disponível nas ruas estreitas. Anfitriões super simpáticos e disponíveis.

We loved Sonia and Joel they were excellent hosts, they went above and beyond. They treated us like family. They both deserve 11 out 10. It was hard saying goodbye to Sonia, she’s a special lady.We will be back.

Where to start? This experience was just GORGEOUS. I probably never stayed in a house so good via Booking. The house is the high part of Funchal, close to Monte, but the position is very comfortable, since it is just 10-15 min from the Avenida do Mar and very close to the main highway of Madera. In addition, they provide and inside parking for your rented car that is FUNDAMENTAL! Sónia was just a gorgeous host: she waited for us and explained everything in the house (even tough we landed quite late), leaving us also dozens of suggestions on place to visit/where to eat and very nice map. The house is with EVERYTHING, both for the bathroom and the kitchen. I really loved the attention to every detail: Sónia left shampoo and soap for the first days and even “girl products” in case of need. These may seem like “silly” things, but I honestly think that THESE are the things that make the difference in between a good and gorgeous host. Not to mention that she also gifted us with a bottle of wine for the first evening. The house itself is breathtaking: it has an amazing view on the sea and a very nice terrace where we always had our meals. We really felt like family with Sónia and a mention of honor goes to her dog, that is the cutest and most adorable being! 200% recommended!
