Location was fantastic - well placed in the old town with easy access to waterfront, zona velha/market and many local bus stops. We took an easy walk to the west side of Funchal and beyond, as there is a nice coastal path around to follow. Loads of restaurants and cafe to select from and you can access many other areas of the island independently using the bus network if you don't hire a car. Plenty of space for my husband and I. Bed was super comfortable (firm) and the bedroom + bathroom were a decent size. The bedroom has a small balcony coming off and an air conditioning unit (which ran quietly). Bathroom was clean and modern. Upstairs, the kitchen was well equipped, the sitting area open up onto a large terrace that caught the sun until 1.30pm (in December). Its a great use of space - well designed and styled! We were really pleased with the location and comfortable staying in what felt like own own little home in Funchal. We booked a taxi through booking to take us into Funchal from the airport and the driver was literally able to stop right outside the door.

Water in the shower took a long time to drain, but otherwise it was a very clean and modern bathroom!

Location was great and the house was lovely and bright. Felt homely and the balcony was a great size

Work going on next door which made it quite noisy at times. Check in quite late and check out early.

Little phobic with sleeping in new places, so FOR ME a little issue was closing only the front door of the building made with milk glass, there are second doors inside, but not possible to close with the key. Renovation behind the wall in progress till 6-7 pm.

Location is great. Very cozy and tastefully decorated duplex apartament, with a lot of charm and character. Terrace overlooking the city is such a big plus. You have all the necessary amenities, including a washing machine. Host was very responsive and friendly.

Everything about this apartment was such perfection. The space with the two different levels and then the balcony made it such a comfortable stay. Really couldn’t recommend it more!
