heating system did not seem to work.the location on a steep hill was a bit of an issue as my mother is 80yrs.

We’d selected this property as it came up as suitable for 2 couples with 4 dogs. 24 hours before our trip, we were asked to pay £195 deposit. We were also asked to confirm we were not bringing dogs. We replied by reminding them of the initial booking of 4 dogs. I was then called less than 24 hours before the trip by Tracy to say she was cancelling the booking as they didn’t allow 4 dogs. After a long conversation, it was agreed we’d pay an extra £60 for the dogs and had to increase the deposit by £100. House was not cleaned to Covid 19 standards as stated. I promptly sent photos showing this. It states in the house rules that you need to inform the owner of any issues in the first 24 hours. This we did with: Dirty glass in indoor doors Dirt on floor Fireplace that didn’t work Both single beds in front bedroom have broken headboards Handrail in back garden not safe No bulbs in 2 ceiling lights in kitchen (response was that kitchen bright enough and those bulbs were difficult to find) We were then called repeatedly by the host - we refused to answer as we were on holiday. She then accused us of complaining unnecessarily and causing her stress. There is no welcome pack. There isn’t even milk in the fridge because, according to the host, vegans have complained of this. The left over bag of sugar we found was disgusting and unusable. We cleaned the house from top to bottom before leaving and chased twice for the return of deposit. Deposit is steep for a basic let. Towels are tiny - take your own. Bedrooms are dire and in urgent need of an upgrade. The tub chairs in lounge are very uncomfortable. It ought to have been made clear that there is a max on number of dogs allowed in property and that an extra £15 charge EACH is added with an additional £100 deposit.

Lovely house and very comfortable. We didn't eat here much but all the facilities were there to use if you needed them. We did have an issue with our transport but Tanya was very helpful so we could change our booking a little. Easy to park outside the property and the shops are only a 5 minute walk away.

The property was at the top of a hill so my husband was not able to walk too far, but the taxis are cheap enough and come very quickly if you need to get to the top of the hills with more pubs etc

House was immaculate. Every room was very spacious. House had everything it needed and more. The owners are lovely. Highly recommend it.

Good location just a 15 minute walk to the town or railway station. Everything clean, all you need at the property and just perfect for a weekend away with the family. It was reasonably priced for location and what you get.

Nothing major, if I was been super picky, perhaps the bedrooms could do with a little revamp as the bathroom and downstairs is all new and modern.

Very clean and tidy, very good value if you were travelling as we did with family. Nice bright decor and very well equipped. Plenty of space. The owners were extremely hospitable with an excellent informative welcome pack.

I didn’t realise how steep it was situated which was fine for most able bodied people but it’s something for guests who may have mobility issues to consider - it’s at the top of an extremely steep hill and one of our group due to mobility issues absolutely could not walk to or from the property which meant taxis , extremely short journey taxis to and from the village.

The setting and situation was perfect being near to pubs and shops . The house very clean and pleasant. The beds very comfortable and plenty of towels, kitchen well equipped. The owners were very friendly and helpfull dealing with queries promptly. The facilities were easy to use.

The gardens needed tidying to give a better first impression but appreciate that we have not yet had the weather for it! Perhaps a lock on the bathroom door would be good.

Was really comfy, cozy and bright, very spacious, lovely and clean, really liked the shower, owners very informative and polite and got our problem sorted at the property promptly and security deposit refunded quickly

When we first got there the boiler wasn't working as should which was out of the owners control no hot water or heating but we informed the owners who got in touch with the gas man and he came and fixed it ASAP which was excellent. Also no fault of the owners but the house is on quite a steep slope which wasn't too great as my mum is frightened of heights and limited mobility but obviously that's just out of anyone's control where the house is situated.
