This is a lovely little cottage, just one room and a good-sized bathroom, but very spacious. The cottage was very well equipped, we had everything we needed and more. It was great to have a washing machine. The highlight was the garden, plenty of space to laze, read and eat outdoors with sunny and shady areas and completely private. Our hosts were kind and helpful and left us some very welcome treats. Kalyves, especially the western side, is a proper Greek village not just a tourist resort so the shops are well stocked. Plenty of good restaurants an easy walk from the cottage too. We had a great time.

There was nothing we didn't like about the cottage, it was great The only disappointing thing is that most buses don't run through the village so you have to walk to the junction with the highway which takes about 20 minutes. It's not a difficult walk, just a bit tedious.

Lovely to meet the owners who were very warm and friendly. A comfortable place within reach for everything in Kalyves. I especially valued the outdoor space.

Good sized one-room self catering studio apartment on the main road running through Kalives. We were visiting out of season, despite this, the road was still quite busy and challenging to cross on occasion. The road noise was not a problem inside the property which also has a delightful rear courtyard garden. This was a real sun trap and a lovely place to have breakfast. The apartment is well fitted out, clean and comfortable.

Great location in village, near to sea and tavernas but not too close so it was quiet. Shops within easy walking. Property had a lovely private rear garden/paving for sunbathing. Host had left lots of helpful items, such as washing machine liquid, washing up stuff, toilet rolls etc, even a small First Aid cupboard. Only half an hour from airport

This is the most fabulous home by the sea you could wish for! Little heaven! Adorable garden! The house has everything you need and details are gorgeous! Location is great, close to Chania and beach in the village is really great. Our host Gorge is fantastic man, he showed us around and gave us great recommendations, with no mistake! He made sure every detail in house was perfect! Pictures can’t describe beauty and soul of the house! Our holiday was wonderful and we can’t wait to come again! Thank you for such a great hospitality!

Perfect for a family, lovely location close to sea by steps and a short walk from a beach. Owners/hosts were charming and accommodating; they even provided beach towels. Close to shops and restaurants. Lots of kitchen amenities. Easy, scenic drive into Chania. Great wifi; I was able to join video meetings without any glitching while my teens were on their phones! 😊Full size shower with curtain (IYKYK).

Well maintained with everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Bakery and convenience stores close by. Restaurants more shops and beautiful beach a short walk away. Totally recommend this property to couples and a small family with young children. Our host was very generous with provisions left for us throughout our stay. A lovely garden at the back too. 🥰

The studio is beautifully furnished, everything seems almost brand new and a lot of thought has gone into everything. The owners sorted a cot, high chair and baby bath for our baby and even left us a toy as a gift which was so thoughtful and there was a lovely bottle of wine and cake for us. The owners and managing agent couldn't have been more helpful - we ended up arriving at 2 in the morning as our baby was unwell and the owner came to meet us and show us around even though there was a key safe. The managers helped with booking an airport taxi with a car seat and with organising activities while we were there. The location is also great, close to tavernas, supermarkets and atms as well as the beach.

The only thing we hadn't quite registered was that the bus stop was about 20 minutes away and you have to walk almost onto the main highway which felt a bit hairy with a pushchair so worth thinking about if you're planning on using public transport. You can hire a car at very low cost locally though so worth considering even for a day or two.
