The apartment's location is just a few minutes from the beach and the town center, and there are shops nearby. The view is beautiful. The area is very quiet. The perfect place to relax.

The bedroom was damp, and the wardrobe had a strong smell of mold, with visible mold on the upper shelves. The room was not clean, with dust and cobwebs present. Sleeping conditions were poor, and our clothes absorbed an unpleasant odor. Upon arrival, the landlord informed us that the bathroom door did not close. Additionally, the bathroom appeared to be only partially renovated and was left unfinished. The shower curtain repeatedly fell during use, making it inconvenient and uncomfortable. There is also a step between the bathroom and the hallway, which is easy to trip over and presents a safety hazard. Moreover, the flooring at the entrance to the kitchen is broken. On July 8th at 2:00 PM, the landlord entered the property without any prior notice and brought another man with him. He did not inform us in advance nor did he speak to us when entering. We were inside the house, in a moment of privacy. He told us he was expecting a delivery and needed to collect a piece of furniture from the storage room. When we told him he should have informed us beforehand, he insisted that he had to do what needed to be done. Afterwards, he placed two sun loungers in the garden—ironically, just one day before our departure. The apartment does not match the photos shown in the listing. It seems to be under renovation, slowly and incompletely. There was no smoke detector in the apartment. Additionally, The stairs leading from the street to the property are external and in very poor condition. The steps are old, uneven, and irregular, making them difficult to walk on safely. There is no handrail, which increases the risk of falling and makes them particularly dangerous. These issues significantly impacted both the comfort and the safety of our stay, and we strongly hope they will be addressed promptly for future guests. .

We liked the location and enjoyed a seeview.

The house itself had a bit of a damp smell.

Be prepared to climb

Well equipped kitchen fridge freezer, oven 4 burner stove, microwave coffee machine. Comfortable bed, lots of outdoor space and a laundry room.

No direction as to how to find the property. It is not possible to get a car close to the house, luggage has to be hauled up 65 steps and then up a long steep path. Not a problem if you know where you are supposed to be going. Also was told some one would meet us at the property when I messaged to say we had arrived I was then given a key code. After checking out got a message that the owner had forgotten to ask for tourist tax so had to mail an extra 28 euros.

One of the best location for swimming on Madeira. Machico has one of the few sandy beach on Madeira. The house has a beautiful and near view of the beach. The house is fully equipped.

There was no mosquito net in the living room. Maximum for 3 people, the couch in the living room is small.

Great location close to the beach with a great view. There was a parking space we used everyday without a problem for free. Prepare for some steep steps , but that is a standard in Madeira. Spacious house with well equipped kitchen and comfy bed.
