Moinho da Fadagosa

Adorei tudo, a hospitalidade da Fiona, do Simon e da Princesse, o conforto, a paisagem, os sons da natureza, o gosto como foi realizada a recuperação do moinho e ao serão beber um chá de Lúcia Lima com os bolinhos feitos por cortesia pela Fiona em frente da lareira foi maravilhoso. Quero muito voltar mas mais uns dias, 2 foram poucos.

Adorámos o alojamento! O moinho está muito bem remodelado. A Fiona e o Simon são fantásticos e acolheram-nos muito bem.

Had an amazing few nights at the Windmill, beautifully restored, comfortable bed and perfect little kitchen to do some cooking. The landscape is stunning and aromatic, the multiple seating areas to enjoy different parts of the day and light made it even better. We loved being so close to the river and easy access to walks. We didn’t manage to spend much time with Fiona and Simon, although we have so many questions to how they achieved it. But we would absolutely love to come back and stay longer! PS the pooch was an absolute darling and we loved her morning visits.

Beautiful building surrounded by beautiful countryside. An idyllic remote spot, with great opportunities for walks and wild swimming (we visited in summer!) and great for stargazing at night. Fiona & Simon are great hosts, we also opted to do the pizza night and wine tasting which was a lovely experience.

Nothing we didn't like it, but a heads up that the windmill is surrounded by hills and has quite steep stairs inside, so won't be appropriate for all.

The place is very well located and quiet, perfect for relaxing. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed. I highly recommend staying here!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The setting is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a nature escape. The windmill is cozy and unique, and the host was simply wonderful! Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway. We will be definitely be coming back!

We had a brilliant time staying for a week at the windmill. Fiona and Simon are amazing hosts, genuinely lovely people who really looked after us well and made us feel so welcome. We wanted somewhere to go for a relaxed week and this ticked all the boxes but there is still plenty to explore in the surrounding provinces. We did the pizza night and wine tasting which Simon & Fiona offer and had a really lovely evening with them (and their wonderful dog Princesa!) learning about and trying Portuguese wines and making some sourdough pizzas. They clearly know their stuff but it was delivered in a way that the two of us (who don't know a lot about wine) found really interesting and accessible. They also helped us with lots of other things on our trip like recommendations for places to swim, and restaurants to visit. The windmill itself and its surroundings are incredible. There is so much open space around the mill to wander around and explore. We loved sitting outside eating breakfast in the mornings, and having a glass of wine in the evening with the breeze. It's also in a perfect spot for some stargazing and we were lucky enough to see the meteor shower! We are so pleased that we found this place and really hope to return some time in future when in need of another recharge. Stop reading and just book it!

Everything about this windmill is simply incredible. We are always coming back every year. You have all the space surrounding for yourself, pure nature. Perfect for those who need silence, privacy and Nature Lovers. The decoration of the mill is wonderful respecting the traditional architecture and all the elements. We travel a lot in Portugal, and this is the NUMBER#1 destination. Just try it once and you will get hooked. The owners are amazing, polite and extremely educated. Best regards, Jk
