Your Dream Bungalow - Mirissa

Прекрасное расположение в дали от суеты. В домике есть все необходимое, посуда, полотенца, постельное белье) Рани и ее семья замечательные, гостеприимные люди, не из тех что улыбаются только в глаза. По утрам на заре начинают петь павлины, а на крышу бунгало спускаются обезьянки, приходят бурундуки....это было самое идеальное место из тех в которых мы отдыхали на острове во время нашей поездки. Отели 5* рядом не стояли по эмоциям)))) Хочу сказать спасибо и мы обязательно вернёмся 😍

Это место идеально для любителей природы и тишины)

Отличный дом, комфортно, чисто и красиво. Днем прилетает павлин, вечером приходит мангуст, бегают белки и огромное количество птиц. Прекрасная открытая кухня . Удобная кровать. До пляжа 10 минут . Потрясающие хозяева , пригласили нас на обед, помогли с трансфером (выгон дешевле чем где либо) и арендой скутера. Прощались как с родными, обязательно вернемся сюда!

The outdoor area and having a little place to ourselves was a nice change to a hotel rooms. Staff were incredibly kinda and helpful during our stay.

The bungalow is dark as no real windows only the front door for natural light. Air con system was dirty and smelt musty so was not great to have on. A little out of the main area, so would recommend getting a tuk tuk or scooter whilst staying here.

Private Nature

The bed and the pillows. The lack of insect deterrents. The location was a little too far from the beach for my liking.

The cottage is set back from the main roads making it a very quiet location. The nearest cafes are about 10 minutes walk away but you can always ask for a tuk tuk (or call yourself via the app). The house itself is very clean and neat. Rani was always ready to help and provide everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Wifi router is located on the terrace and therefore in the far part of the room (specifically near the beds) very poor signal.

+ - The yard - Quietness - The size of the villa for two person - The hosts are very communicative

- -The room is darker than on the photo, as it does not have side windows (actually, it does, only one with a mosquito net instead of a window, which makes it useful when the AC worked) - Subsequently, it would be nicer to have more light in the room - The kitchen utensils should be renewed and there are not enough of them (more plates and cups please) - We broke (not completely) one of the plates, so when I was checking out the villa lady asked for money, I gave her around 1000 Rs. I supposed utensils are being replaceable off of the money customers pay for the stay - With technics with Тype C (Europlug) chargers, there is only one adapter for the whole villa (they have Britain sockets there), be prepared and take an additional one with you. Thought we asked for another adapter a couple of times, never been provided with one - No beach towels provided - Finally, it left a bitter taste that I was charged more than anticipated ($21 more, they use Stripe for charges) due to the fact that the owner thought that I had a Russian credit card based on my name, though it is stated in my profile that I am from Georgia and that it is well-known fact that Russian credit cards are not working at all outside Russia. We settled it with one free breakfast for both of us, but I found out later, that the same breakfast set would cost twice as little in the cafes on the streets

Our drivers struggled to find the property. Not comfortable/safe walk to the beach. It’s also located next to a construction site and the room had mosquitoes and large spiders. Obviously this should be expected in the jungle but we stayed at two other remote locations in Sri Lanka and didn’t have the same experience.

The name dream bungalow is accurate we wanted to live here forever. The garden, the outside kitchen and all the decor is beautiful, the whole place is very well thought out with everything you need, it’s very private and peaceful we absolutely loved it. One thing that could make it even better is if they provided a drinking water dispenser.
