"Wonderful quirky house in a great historical city within walking distance of the Castle"

The hosts make you feel very welcome with some wine and basics to get you going. Lovely place in a quirky layout. Dog friendly and lovely upstairs barbecue and sunning spot. I loved the indoor/outdoor kitchen and spent a lot of time in the courtyard. Easy to collect keys from the lock box. They also leave and an extra key or two in case. Just watch out for the wind blowing the courtyard door closed - although it's no problem with a key outside. Just prop the door open on your first walkthrough when you arrive.

Property was spacious and well stocked. outdoor areas were lovely. The on site washer was a nice surprise. Silves was a great base for exploring the Algarve. while not on the coast, the town was quiet amd full of Medieval charm.

My only feedback is minor — it would have been nice of there was a US convertor and maybe a list of local sites.

Great rooftop terrace for friends to gather, perfect location for a house with character and if you have a car to explore the beaches near Benagil. Host was very friendly on arrival with some essentials like bread, milk, butter and juice offered in the fridge and kitchen. The two sun umbrellas offered for us to borrow really saved us on the beach. Would definitely stay again if visiting Algarve.

One bathroom may be a bit of a squeeze with 5 people (maximum allowable guests) and may get quite hot in the bedrooms, fans and AC are available.
