Villa Cielo - Family House

The house was extremely clean, with spacious rooms. A very welcoming atmosphere.

The house was awesome and perfectly suited for our family of 3.

The only suggestion would be a few items in the house that would help for a multiple day stay. Things like a plug in the sink, knives for preparing food and a grater.

Large house with two bedrooms. Parking outside was great. The host provided great tips for tourist activities beaches and restaurants.

Would be good to have a few extra utensils in the kitchen for those on a longer stay

The host was very friendly and gave lots of useful tips. The accommodation was really nice and spacious. The area had lots to do and see, making it a great place to visit.

Needs a few more utensils in kitchen if you are like us and want to do a lot of your own cooking.

We took a rental car at Lisbon airport. Then, some 30 min. drive to Villa Cielo (it is close to the centre of Sintra). The place is spacious as described, a two-storey apartment with a large kitchen, nice living room and a little convenient backup-toillet downstairs. A microwave owen was useful, and we even shortly used an electric heater due to some rainy patches over night! According to locals, Sintra is always cloudier and colder than the surroundings, which can be helpfull if you experience a heat wave during your holiday! TV had a bunch of programmes in foreign languages. Our hosts were so nice and pleasant, helpfull and stayed in touch with us so we got some nice tips for visiting the area. This place is a very convenient starting point if you want to explore beyond Lisbon and also spend more time in Sintra. Sintra definitely deserves more days, as people usually only take the train from Lisbon for a one day trip (and visit just the Pena Palace & Castle of the Moors). We strongly recommend to visit Monserrat, the most beautiful gardens we have ever seen, almost like a tropical forrest! We enjoyed there for about 4 hours and still it was not enough! If you want to explore places like Nazare or Sesimbra, they are just under one hour drive from here. Cascais a 20 min. drive. There is also an option to take a train from Sintra to Lisbon if you want to avoid travelling there by car and search for parking! We absolutely enjoyed our holiday in this area of Portugal and we would certainly recommend Vila Cielo and our lovely hosts!

A wonderful property & great host. You have a view of Pena Palace & the Moorish Castle. There's a cafe across the street & a grocery store 2 minutes away. It was a very quiet neighborhood and easy to get around by car. Furniture was comfortable and the kitchen well supplied.

For us the bed was too firm. We are accustomed to a plusher mattress. The bathtub/shower was a bit slippery.

Extremely clean, convenient location to visit sights, and has a well supplied kitchen.

We needed to run an electric heater In each room we wished to occupy because the leaky windows cooled the house so quickly.

Host is really good. Location and parking facilities are excellent.

It was cold and there were only 2 room heaters. No dishwasher and washing machine.

Apartment with everything what we was needed. As for us, great location, quiet area, close to stores, malls, Sintra attractions and ocean. Friendly owner behave like a family!)
