Chez-Lu Ravello

Everything !! First, our host was great and met us at the property. The set up with bedroom areas up stairs with 2 private baths with kitchen & patio area its own level made you feel like being at a resort. Location Location Location. The building is literally @ the SITA bus stop, whether going to Amalfi, Ravello or Māori all right there. Bus ticket can be purchased directly across the street at convenience store. The direct access to the Med to swim and Sun is amazing.

The first view of Chez-Lu from the road does not prepare you for the magic that lies ahead! We were so very pleasantly surprised by the apartment which is laid out on two levels. The top level includes the bedroom and lounge and the lower level houses the kitchen and dining area. Both levels have space to sit or sunbathe. Then there are steps which lead down to lovely little terraces, suitable for sunbathing, enjoying food and drink or just enjoying the views. It is also possible to access the sea from the steps. However, the winning feature of this apartment has to be the location. Stunning sea views and wonderful for yacht watching - the binoculars in the apartment are a lovely touch! It is also perfectly placed for venturing to all places of interest and attractions on the Amalfi Coast. Atrani is a 10 minute walk away and several very good restaurants can be found there. Our absolute favourite there was Le Palme! In Amalfi, Da Maria restaurant was fabulous, some of the best food we ate in the Amalfi coast and very reasonably priced. Da Gemma was also excellent, but a more formal setting and more expensive. Amalfi is only a 15/20 minute walk away and from there you can hop on a ferry to take you to Positano, Capri, Ischia, Sorrento, Salerno and other places of interest. We walked one day up the 1700 steps from Atrani to Ravello which was quite a challenge, but it’s also possible to hop on a bus to Ravello at the bus stop which is just across from the apartment. There is a small shop just opposite the apartment that supplies most necessities and serves excellent coffee! The owners are extremely helpful and also sell bus tickets to nearby locations. We travelled by bus to Salerno one day and it took just over an hour. As previously stated in a review, there are not two separate bedrooms. There is a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom - the bed and pillows are very comfortable!

There were a lack of kitchen utensils and crockery. A knife to slice the wonderful, local bread and other basic utensils would have been good! Two separate bedrooms would have been preferred, rather than the pull out sofa that encroached our space in the living room.

Lo que no me gustó es que el único aire acondicionado estaba en el dormitorio principal y debiamos dormir toda la noche con frío pero no podia apagarlo porque no le llegaba el aire a mi hija en el living

Beautiful location! Easy to get to Atrani and Amalfi. Cool lay out of the property.

This is absolutely not a two bedroom. There is one proper bedroom. For my family this was very disappointing because we have a teenage daughter and we were all expecting more privacy. There is a full size pull out sofa bed right in front of the one bedroom.

Great localisation by the sea and direct access to the water.

The location and views are phenomenal

Absolute value for money. Isabella was very helpful and responded quickly whenever we had questions. Unbeatable location. 15 min walk to Amalfi. Bus stop to both Ravello and Salerno right outside unit with small supermarket across the street. Walk down 161 steps and jump in the ocean.

Location - waking up every morning to the sea view from our bedroom and patio was incredible. It's far enough out of town to avoid the crowds, craziness and gives you a good walk after dinner! - it takes about 10min to walk to Atrani and maybe 20 into Amalfi. It's a pleasant enough walk with stunning views. Each evening was lit by the moon over the water - beautiful. The patios and additional space were most welcome, I spent many an hour reading whilst looking out over the sea. The private swim patio was lovely too!
