Nyumba Nyekundu

So much to say! For starters, Jane the host received us wonderfully well despite how long we passed the check in time due to unforeseeable delays. She made us feel at home immediately showing us to the tastefully decorated residence. The residence does not disappoint. The house is quite spacious and had everything we needed for our short but very sweet stay. To help with transport concerns, Jane has personal tuk-tuk drivers who she immediately recommends who are lovely, ask for John. She also offers a breakfast menu for a very affordable fee and gave us pamphlets on virtually everything to do in Watamu. I have zero complaints. Only that travelers should not that the home is a small distance from the main road and is on a rough road but is navigable by foot, tuk-tuk and car to the beach and nearby amazing Kobe Suite Resort. I would DEFINITELY visit again, without a doubt! [Ironically, the house is not red at all, as the name suggests in Swahili :) ]

It's such a lovely place. Everything was just done to perfection, and we loved it there. Jane is an amazing host, and she made us love our stay at her lovely place, I highly recommend it. Worth all the money.

Oh, NOTHING. Everything was just okay.

The house is really beautiful, clean and tastefully designed. Offers ample privacy. The location is a bit far off from the road and Watamu town, however the area is generally safe to even move around at night. Also, Jane also offers some contacts for a great tuk-tuk driver and a detailed itinerary of things you can do in Watamu - found that to be super helpful as a solo traveller. She also has some really friendly dogs.

I loved the private suite with a private pool. The apartment was nice, well-decorated, and the room was comfortable. Finally, the full kitchen was super practical!

Unfortunately, there was no breakfast included, and I had to order food from restaurants (which were not close enough to go by foot either).

EVERYTHING 😻 the pictures don't do it just. This place is beautiful and soooo peace. They staff is sweet and Jane is the best she has been so sweet and kind we are definitely coming back.

Distance to the beach but the have a tuktuk guy who took us when we needed to go.
