Lovely 3 Bedroom House near Barking Station

I liked that the area was relatively quiet and we had no disturbances at all (except for the foxes that were trying to kill each other on the last night :-D ). It was easy to commute from and to. Lots of kebab shops around, you can never starve there - lol

There were 6 of us (6 available sleeping spots), but there were only 4 towels for us to use, when contacted the property via Booking, I was told that the other towels will be dropped off by someone, but nobody ever showed up (in 4 days). The house looked pretty unmaintained, our bed had missing slabs (my partner actually fell into the gap). Everyone that has stayed, has come back home with an aching back - the beds were super uncomfortable. Decorating in the property was done in a rush and without due care, there was paint peeling off the stair rails, walls looked like they had been painted over existing wallpaper, by a 10-year-old, and were peeling off. The garden looks absolutely horrible and abandoned. The little shelf under the TV was not even fixed to the wall properly, I was afraid it may fall off when I touched it. It looks like the property is just an asset that is being squeezed for all its juice (without any investment). The Wi-Fi was free, but my mobile provider was giving a better speed with barely any signal and when divided by 6 people I was unable to load a website, not to talk about watching a YouTube video.

The house was definitely nice and cosy, so comfortable and inviting. Temperature was perfect and the rooms were exactly the sizes we were looking for. We travelled from Liverpool for the Aug bank holiday and this was perfect for our 4 night stay. The host left a few things such as toilet paper, spices, washing up liquid, wch was a bonus. Upon arrival, the keys were easy to locate, but for a large group of 5, it would have been helpful to have more than one key. The location is not bad at all, we felt right at home and loved being in the property.

We were not at all impressed by receiving 2 parking tickets which cost us £130 each! it put a damper on the trip. I know the host mentions no parking but for people travelling from outside London by car, it would be helpful if the host had a visitors' permit for guests to avoid such unnecessary charges. There was nowhere nearby to park and my suggestion is as mentioned, a parking permit for guests would be appreciated. So I would not recommend driving to the property/parking there as you will be unfortunate just like we were.....

Everything was perfect and very clean .Will definitely come back
