Usual place in remote part of city. No public transport around. Extra super economy inside, no kettle, no even glasses for wine. Plus very unfriendly hosts, it seems, they hate the customers. The hardest way to get the keys after payment, the hardest for my 30 years travelling. Asking them for keys - they ask a question instead, you answer and wait 30 min, asking for keys again - they ask another one question. Making you walk round and round for hours. It took 3 extra hours for me to get the keys and enter. They want advance payment of course. If not, everybody would turn away and find another place to stay.

Problem for parking

Really great apartment for the price with lovely garden, and really helpful owners. The place is a lovely hidden gem, equipped with everything you would need during your stay.. ( cooking equipment, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, washing machine, towels) What I have written in the cons, can also be considered as pro, if you are not someone who gets scared easily, as you get to walk to through places you might wouldn't walk otherwise

I am a bit bias regarding the location, not the cleanest/nicest part of the city. However if you are someone who is not afraid of this, walking through the city to the location, you can experience the real, non-touristy Catania!! It is a vibe! Personally for my preference the bed was a bit stiff.

no easy place to find

fast communication, getting the keys was easy (lockbox), we parked in front of the door in the steet but there is frequent traffic, house was clean; we stayed overnight so cannot say more
