Beautiful view overlooking both the city and the ocean. Really pretty at night. The apartment was well equipped.

It’s an uphill climb to get to it but that’s just something to get used to in Funchal 😀. 2 single beds in one BR with one of them practically on the floor.

The apartment has new furniture, the kitchen is spacious and well furnished. Comfortable couch, beautiful view of the city and the ocean from the balcony. Private park (but the alley is 100% challenging due to the incline and the poor space to manoeuvre).

The last 2/3 days we got invaded by these huge brown cockroaches. We found them everywhere. Running in the kitchen, in the bed room, even on the top of the couch! The owner came to put some traps but they did not help. It was 30 degrees outside so we were told the issue was from the city sewage.

The apparatment has a very nice view over Funchal, in a quiet part of town and with a very nice balcony, very good kitchen with a lot of dishes and equipment for cooking. Only a few minutes walk to the port and shopping, bus, and old town.

The bedrooms looked bigger on the pictures. WC in one bathroom needs some repairs maybe.

The house is amazing, beautiful view to the city. The house was very clean, confortable and modern.

The only issue is the parking space. We rented a medium size car and it was very difficult to park it. But after few days it become easy.

The appartment is well equipped, very clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view from the terrace over the Bay of Funchal. It is within walking distance of the old town, and 10-15 minutes from the supermarket in the shopping centre. Communication with the host was straightforward. There are 2 SAM airport bus stops within walking distance (downhill) to return to the airport, one near the big shopping centre with supermarket, and one of Avenida do Mar. Recommend using a taxi to arrive.

The apartment is fitted with everything you could need, there are even 2 bathrooms. It's an absolutely spectacular position to watch the annual New Year's fireworks display from with a great view of the cruise ship terminal and town below, as well as the hillside above.

The hill to reach the house and parking spot is quite steep, with a narrow street and tight turns. If you are renting a car, I'd highly recommend sticking to a group A or B car, as you may find it difficult to get the car in and out of the parking spot. Other than that, it is in a fantastic location

Good location, lovely kitchen facilities, everything my friends and I needed for our stay in terms or utensils to cook. Beautiful view from the balcony, nice neighbourhood.

If you come in a car the road up to the property is very narrow and parking in the parking bay is therefore very challenging. Not a ‘negative’ but definitely be aware if you are not an experienced driver. I had a bad allergic reaction to the bedding at the property which unfortunately really affected my stay. I had to sleep in a hotel for a night as the reaction was getting worse. I suspect this is due to my atopic skin as my two friends who also stayed there had no issues and the place was very clean, so this was probably an isolated case. However, the representative of the property could have been more sympathetic about this, he did not seem concerned at all which is not what we expected from a host.
