This review is based on our overall experience of this place and is put into context with four other properties we used during our stay in Portugal. By giving this review, we don’t aim to devalue the work their host is putting into keeping her business going. We liked the swimming pool I used ( very cold water not heated but clean), slide, and small playground for children with extra toys that helped while checking out.

Starting with the fact that we were so put off by the communication with the host, who sent apparently automated messages three times to bring cash to pay the deposit and to pay 30% of the value of our stay for one night into their designated bank account, we paid cash upon our checkout to the cleaning lady the next day. Upon arrival, we had a problem in the darkness collecting the keys. It was very dark at the gate, and in those situations, I believe it's necessary to accommodate and meet your guests. We spent about 15-20 minutes at the gate trying to enter the right code, and only the next guest helped us complete this task. In the bottom-located apartment, the bleach smell upon our arrival late in the evening was unbearable. It was going straight to our eyes, and it was terrible, as if we were sleeping in a chloride swimming pool. We could not properly breathe for the first hours and had to keep the door open. Opening windows at night was not possible because of the sound of the nearby motorway, so we would not have been able to sleep at all. The apartment T3 was trying to be luxurious with all gold mirrors but had rust, appliances in the huge shower and a bathroom mounted in a bedroom with a toilet and large see-through glass, as if we were in some weird film set for adults. This might be fun for newly married couples but not for a family with a child. It was not exactly communicated in the pictures that we would be getting this apartment. The things in this apartment don't make any sense, trying to be fancy with fancy showers but suddenly having a plastic chair replacing the leather-like one, and no light was working in the kitchen section. The host seemed somehow arrogant, almost ashamed to be hosting guests. When I called in desperation for help to get in and asked if she spoke English (all messaging was done in Portuguese), she replied with a list of languages she speaks instead of paying attention to us and the problem.

Very clean. Location. Very spacious. Beautiful pool.
