Skye Bay

Great location and view.

The house was large and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the view was great. There was a large driveway to park in. We appreciated the easy to use washer and dryer. It was so easy to walk into Portree which was a big bonus because parking was a little challenging.

There were a few little quirky things. The door was difficult to lock. I couldn't figure out the towel heaters or the heat in the house. It was cool downstairs and hot upstairs. You couldn't open the window because there were lots of biting little bugs. One of the upstairs rooms didn't have a a shower (Just a big tub in the room) and there was no door to the toilet, by design.

The location was excellent close to the centre of Portree. Large sitting area with lovely views. Plenty of bathrooms and a washing machine and dryer are very handy. Shower gel and other toiletries provided. Very quiet area with free parking.

Instructions for appliances would be helpful. Bedrooms have a lack of wardrobe space and generally storage space throughout was lacking. The kitchen needs more cooking facilities such as pizza cutter, fish slice, wooden spoons, baking trays etc. Some of the pans were covered in grease. There was no scourer to clean any utensils, only a very thin jay cloth which wasn't adequate for 4 days. The sitting area was large but there was no coffee table or side tables to put anything down. A clothes airer would be useful. One bedroom with open toilet was a bit strange and could do with some sort of barrier. We expected more for the rates we paid.

Everything indoor was spotless clean. Facilities are good. Just the cooking pans are all stick and it was a pain to cook even fried egg. The back yard needs cleaning.

Downstairs bed was decent enough but did creak a lot. A four slot toaster more suitable for the number of rooms and guests.

Ideal property for 4 guys working, well laid out excellent value for money. Was very clean, with all the amenities required for the time we were there. Would recommend to other, location great.

There was nothing that caused an issue, everything was as required.

Brilliant location, lovely views, lots of space and plenty of bathrooms plus washer and dryer very handy with a family.

We had some minor glitches in the kitchen but the lady looking after us was super responsive and helpful to fix issues. I think the kitchen could do with some more basics for a family stay who might eat in more eg pizza cutter, wooden spoons, we asked for a grater and it was provided however.

Communal spaces, all the bedrooms having toilets, lots of space, very good amenities for a non Hotel booking ie shower gel, shampoo etc. good sized kitchen

One bedroom with open toilet, would be nice if there was some sort of barrier. Toaster didn’t work and oven smelt of fat
