Happy House Pompei

De ligging: op 15min wandelen van de archeologische site van Pompei, winkels, restaurants enz...

Onze grootste frustratie was dat de kamer qua geluidsisolatie nihil was! De ruimte naast ons appartement was gescheiden door een binnendeur, waardoor je alles van de buren (naast ons en boven ons) kon horen, ook 's nachts... Onze bovenburen (waarschijnlijk de eigenaars) komen om 12u 's nachts toe, waarbij een kind staat te springen en ons plafond mee-daverde. De mama vond het blijkbaar ook fijn om diezelfde nacht nog te staan zingen met haar kind. Misschien leuk voor hen, maar niet als je 's ochtends een lange rit voor de boeg hebt. De laatste ochtend wilden we het gasfornuis gebruiken om koffie te zetten, maar de ontsteking werkte niet, ook geen aansteker of lucifers te vinden. In de 'senseo' koffiezet zat nog een opgedroogde pad van de vorige huurders... Jammer, want het appartement heeft wel degelijk potentieel.

The owner was very accommodating and helpful despite our very late arrival. The property was perfect for our family and needs and very good value for money.

The location is convenient—about a 10-minute walk from Pompei station. The apartment does include a fully functioning kitchenette, which is a useful feature for those who prefer to cook their own meals.

I stayed at this accommodation for two nights and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences in terms of getting a good night’s sleep. There was absolutely no noise isolation. On both nights, around 2:30am, we were woken up by loud conversation and frequent movement up and down the stairs coming from the other part of the apartment. This repeated disturbance made it extremely difficult to rest and repeatedly woke up my baby, leaving us exhausted the next day. The narrow road leading to the property lacks a pedestrian walkway, which can feel unsafe during busy hours.

The room was nice and very clean

The hosts did not speak English so there was some confusion figuring out where to get the keys and what room we stayed in. The host was very nice however and helped us get into the room when we were locked out.
