"Gorgeous views close to Russell , a few tweaks needed ."

6.0

Beautiful views from the deck and close to Russell town. Everything we needed was available in the villa regarding kitchen facilities . Plenty of clean towels and bedding

Unfortunately a few things do need addressing Firstly this villa is not suitable for young children as the rail on the deck is way too low and also some of the deck was rotten and boards moved in a few places ,making it a little scary to walk on. There are heaters which are great for Winter but we went when it was really hot and the place was stifling , especially at night . one air conditioner/heat pump would make all the difference . The villa is close to town but be aware it is on a very steep driveway to walk up and down so you would have to drive if not the best walker .

"A beautiful hideaway with ample room for the family."

10.0

The accommodation was a lovely quiet location with a magnificent view of the Bay. There was plenty of room in the house and we were all able to get a lovely nights sleep, despite the wild weather outside.

A bit more information about the facilities and how they function. The oven was a bit tricky as was the TV

The location was fantastic with a beautiful view. It was comfortable and handy to shops, cafes etc.

The power points in the lounge and kitchen stopped working and we had to purchase extension cords to run from bedrooms to have TV and heaters going.

"A great place for a long weekend retreat with friends."

9.0

Stunning views over the town and across the bay. The house is designed as a holiday stay, making great use of the site to maximise the views. An entertainment space.

I'm fine with climbing hills. It is definitely walkable but my friends were less keen which meant that despite the short distance, they insisted on driving to town almost every time.

"Great stay for the family, we have stayed here many of times, number 1 reason is location, distance to town and the view"

Great location, walking distance to waterfront and township. It has excellent views of the bay where you can just sit, relax and watch the comings and goings….

"Location and view are what you’re paying for here. Modernisation and guest care need to be considered."

8.0

The location and view are faultless.

We had no internet for our entire stay as there was a cable was missing, we contacted Bachcare who look after this place and they just apologised for the lack of internet not offering any solutions in order to rectify the issue. One of the beds hadn’t been made up, so no sheets or pillowcases and none available to make the bed ourselves. I contacted Bachcare about this via Booking.com and got absolutely no response. It was so got and muggy and even though there are fans provided, there is no air conditioning. The deck should have a weight limit on it, some of the planks feel as though you could fall through them at any point and the short railing is very wobbly. It’s a really wonderful place, but I think they need to spend some of the money they make on modernising, upkeep and ensuring all listed amenities are available for guests to use. Some basic toiletries such as soap and shampoo as well as a small bottle of milk in the fridge should also be included in the price. I could have scored this lower, but the location and view are sensational, it’s a shame that Bachcare feel that they can lean on those 2 factors alone.
