Villa Matta by Amazing Madeira

We loved the character of the property, the spaciousness of it, the tranquility of the setting, the pool (which was safe for young children as you could not fall in without first climbing onto the wall), the easy contact with the management company.

Nothing. It was perfect - apart from a crack in the base of the en-suite shower. We informed the owners about this as it leaked through the ceiling downstairs after we used it. We stopped using it and were happy to just use the main bathroom. We found this side of the island was more prone to clouds but we hired a car so could easily drive to find the sun if needed.

Very lovely well equipped property, the outside kitchen was a bonus. Lots of space beautiful setting. Great for a family or couple. The driveway with locked garage was great too

We found the beds not to our liking, after a week on the very firm mattress our backs and shoulders are sore. There is a church nearby which some may find delightful the bell sounding every 15 minutes from 7am to 10pm was less than ideal. The shutters didn’t have a latch to keep them open so if wanted any light in the villa they would slam shut sometimes which was very loud. Notice other people had latches and definitely recommend this for the owner.

Rustic vibes in this remodeled country house. Gated property with parking in a small town. Spotlessly clean. Spacious and comfy. The separate kitchen and living space is pretty cool! Pool was open late October for the braver ones in our group 😁🥶. Car is necessary, but there is a cool viewpoint and a protected swimming spot near by.
