Casa Marhaba - Welcome

We had a bit of a difficulty finding the property because although it is on a busy street, the number is not easily seen when you are driving. A bit of a heads up on landmarks and such would have been helpful. Our host actually stood outside when we continually told him we could not find the property. That was very nice. The apartment is beautifully decorated, and for the 4 of us, it was perfect. In addition, there's a large supermarket within walking distance and the bus (route 3) is just a block or so down, taking you straight to La Torre de Oro. Perfect!

Communication on how things worked and such was a bit of an issue. The washing machine was not working. My husband YouTubed the problem and was able to get it going (our host was already in bed when we called him to see if he had any ideas). In addition, we did not know where the rack for hanging the clothes was, so we actually hung things all around the apartment. Later that day, we found out where it was. I feel that a welcome sheet with all instructions/locations would be helpful. The keys also took some practice. Again, this may be a Spain thing, but a practice session might not be bad before leaving the guests with them.

Very comfortable beds, beautiful decoration, nice host, lot of towels. The flat is huge. Lot of free parking spots in the street. The ceilings are beautiful.

I had no negative experience, but neighbourhood didn't look like it's the greatest.

Close enough to bus route (#14) and eady to get down town. Free street parking outside, safe enough. Appartment has everything you need and good aircon. Family run by friendly helpful hard working folk. A good choice for us Aussies that neither expect nor want 5 star accommodation.

Long flight of stairs to get to appartment on first floor, only because my knees are buggered.

We wanted a comfortable place with two rooms at a good price for many days and that is what we got. The initial collection of the keys was really helped by the Booking application's translation function--I wrote in English and he in Spanish and everything worked out. The kitchen was very well equipped. All appliances notably air conditioning and washing machine worked perfectly. The decoration is a bit different and we all liked it. There was a useful local restaurant about 10 minutes walk that served breakfasts, lunches, and evening food and drink.

The address on the door needs to be repainted and because of that we had difficulty locating the apartment--fortunately we could easily communicate with the owner via the Booking app. The location is off the tourist center--we already realized this when we booked it. The local bus number 3 gets us easily back and forth (1.4 Euro, pay the driver) to the main tourist locations along the river in less than 20 minutes. Be forewarned, bus stops are 5 to 10 minutes walk away. and the bus stops leaving and coming are in different places.
