Vacation House Terraces

The house was very refined and cosy. I really enjoyed the staying there.

Well equipped cute cottage. Cosy place to watch a movie or sit outside. Very peaceful location and close to the forest paths.

Take food with you else it's a 25 minute walk back in to town to get anything as there are no eating places of shops any closer.

The location is warm, cosy, beautiful, peaceful, private, rural, safe and very relaxing for a holiday for a small town/hiking area winter getaway from the city and I imagine that the summer time it would be even more beautiful. The yard was green and lovely. There was even some snow! Highly recommend if you want to enjoy the nature of Latvia. The host is very nice, kind and helpful. There is a drip-coffee machine. The kitchen is quite nice. The wood used in the furnishings and house design smells wonderful and is so calming. The master bedroom is cosy. The upstairs attic bedroom is quite cosy too. I could imagine in summer the yard, balconies and veranda to be very good for hanging out and reading. In winter it would be nice if the gas heater worked. However we had access to the BBQ grill which was super fun, you just need to buy some coals. There were BBQ skewers underneath the oven. The bathroom is small but good. The shower curtain is a bit flimsy, a glass door would be better and some towel hangers also. The sauna looks so good, but we didn't have time to use it. It is nice there is also a TV and internet. The fridge is small but clean. Everything was clean and tidy. Could have been nice if it was easier to find extra bedsheets but I did not ask. Also it would be nice if there was a laundry basket especially for longer stays, or baskets underneath the bed to store my clothes. The paintings and books are nice, not many English books though. The kitchen has so many essentials which was very useful. Overall, I loved my time there and can't wait to come again soon! There are forest hiking places all over and very near by. It does get dark outside by 3pm in December! The bus/train station, restaurants, cafes, markets, souvenir shop, apotekas, huge swimming center, and more are 20 minutes away. By bus or train you can easily go to Riga or other places by taking a ticket online. Would highly recommend this stay!!

I liked everything!! Rimi grocery shop is about 20 minutes walk away but thats not a big problem for me. I like that the location is in a quiet and nice area with greenery near by! Thank you to the host for the amazing stay.
