Hilltop Hideaway

The view from the accommodation combined with the privacy really made this trip special. A hidden gem, and I'm looking forward to booking again in the near future.

The view was amazing

Such a disappointment. Fiance booked it for my birthday, but we didnt last one night. We didn't like the accommodation. We were out before midnight the first night. The floor was dirty like it hadn't been cleaned in days or even weeks. The bed had grit in it.We tried to shake it off but it seemed to be coming from the duvet. The towels were musty and damp smelling. The leather couch had green mould under the decorative pillows. The ants swarmed over our dinner on the kitchen counter, in less than an hour. We had to kill a cockroach on the kitchen counter. We found the description over stated. The walk in shower, is a bath to shower conversion. You can't walk onto the north-beach.. although we didnt stay long enough to see how long the walk the beach was. Then, the front of the property had a pile of garden refuse dumped against the front of it. The most upsetting was the discussion with the owner who still insists the place was cleaned the morning of, and will not refund us for our booking dispite letting him know the first night, that we were checking out. We have attached the pics we took of the towel we wiped the floor with, and the mouldy couch.

Great place to get away with family. It was affordable and comfortable, with great views of the ocean.

complete house to ourselves, good location for the north coast and perfect beaches, secluded hilltop position, great for the dogs, great view over the ocean to wakeup to and braai in the evenings

Tv had a problem

The house had an alarm system and I felt safe with my children. During load shedding, we were not affected too much as the owner has backup plans in place. The house had everything that we needed. The dishwasher was a bonus.

Just some spider webs and spiders on the ceiling that my child found unpleasant.

It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view and the home as everything you will require from a self-catering venue. Most of all, the hospitality was utmost best 👌 Safety for the family is important to this place as all safety checks are in place.

Nothing I can say I didn't like it's awesome place keep it up guys

Nice view of the Ocean

The house smelled dirty, like it gets smoked in. The garden and entrance was not tidy. The photos are not a true reflection of what you get. Load Shedding has been with us for years, and NOTHING has been done to counter this. No Generator, Solar, Inverter with Battery Back-up, rechargeable lights, not even a candle in sight? We had to go out and buy Two Rechargeable LanternThe outside Lapa is unusable and busy sliding down the hill. The thatched roof is half gone. The bedding and towels are old and passed their due date. The curtains are shabby and old and the rails don’t work properly. The driveway and parking is a disaster unless you have a very small car. Do not try and get out of the parking if you have a Hilux sized bakkie. The Wifi is super slow, and does not work when there is load shedding or power failures. So its basically useless. The outside braai (weber) is broken. it would have nice if aircons could have installed, fans are not worth the money. You have to pay extra for the cleaning lady, seeing that we already pay a huge sum of money to stay here, this should be included. We are on holiday after all? Lastly, it would have been nice to know that the local beaches are filthy and the sea so polluted with plastic, disposable nappies etc. We had to travel all the way to Ballito to visit a Clean Beach for us to enjoy. Why is in necessary to lower my living standards when going on holiday? This property should catch up urgently to the 21St Century and is in serious need of a proper revamp!!
