Grade II Listed Cottage in Central Taunton

We loved the location.

Toilet handle was broken so we had to open/ use the cistern to flush. Bare electrical wiring on the lounge light. Returned to the house to find kitchen floor totally flooded.Reported this to the emergency contact and eventually a plumber came out. We desperately tried to mop up the wster but as quick as were mopping , the wayer kept coming. However, the plumber could not rectify the problem as it appeared to be an old water mains pipe underneath the property that was causing the flood. We were there for a family birthday and were supposed to be hosting a meal but instead we had to book a restaurant. Very disappointing trip!

parking slightly inconvenient

Central location but quite private, quirky accommodation, good kitchen with useful supplies and utensils. Good communication from owner. River and Morrisons nearby.

Car park was a four or five minute walk away. Shower was cold, maybe I didn't leave it long enough to warm up but it was an electric one. Had a bath instead 👍

Great location, good outside space. Cosy features, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, decent size rooms.

Towels rather thin, no outside light directly by the door, no opening windows upstairs and difficulty with upstairs heating.
