Sound of Nature Tismana

We had a wonderful stay at Sound of Nature Tismana and would definitely come back again. The cabins were warm, cozy, and perfect for relaxing after days spent outdoors. The location felt very safe and secure, tucked away in nature, which gave us peace of mind—especially with the kids. Speaking of which, the children loved the outdoor space and had plenty of room to play and explore. We also really enjoyed the outdoor eating area—great spot for family meals in the fresh air. The outside log fire and BBQ facilities were fantastic and made our evenings even more enjoyable. Roasting marshmallows over the fire quickly became a favorite evening treat for the kids—a little ritual they looked forward to each night. We stayed for an extended period and made the most of everything the property had to offer. While the kitchen wasn’t fully functional for a family looking to cook full meals, we adapted and still had a fantastic time overall. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled escape. We'd certainly stay here again!

Nature, located close to the Tismana monastery.

We had a nightmare stay as from two cabins reserved, one had a broken glass for the fireplace! We were not informed about this and we found out from the guests on site that they moved out of the cabin 3 due to this reason. According to them, as old timers visiting the place, the broken glass at the door of the fireplace is a long time issue. Due to this we couldn't warm the house and believe it or not, the winter nights behind the mountains are freezing in Romania! We took the heater from the other cabin allocated to our group but we were shaking during the whole night. And not just that, but the window facing the road had some cosy cracks probably for being in theme with the fireplace. When going to shower, another fantastic thing! The shower cabin had the door barely holding itself! But no problem, as the electricity went out in the whole place so hot water was available only for touching the skin. Bad for the nature setting, but cabin 3 shall not be listed as an available option (at least for cold season). With these said would still have scored higher but with the information from the other guests (if accurate) to have this broken glass not replaced for years, as well as not informing me when communicating after the booking is hidden information for the guests.
