We loved the view over the river, which was amazing, but some of the cupboards were in need of replacing.

The door of the bedroom can't close, the beds are blocking it. The sewerage drain in the garden was leaking

The location of the house is perfect and the view over the river is stunning!! The kitchen is adequately equipped with everything we needed, including a gas stove with kettle for when loadshedding happened. Also, the wifi had a UPS which ensured there was wifi during loadshedding too. The water pressure in the showers is good and there was plenty of hot water.

The mattresses on the twin beds in the downstairs bedroom were a bit soft for my personal liking, so I slept on the couch in the lounge, which was very comfortable, with a great view of the river. My friend had no complaints about the double bed in the upstairs bedroom.

The accommodation was extremely grubby & overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Electrical Installations in bedroom downstairs did not work and upstairs electrics also questionable. Only one globe in light fitting in downstairs bedroom. Paint peeling off the wall and dry paint was falling into the bed. spare blankets were very dirty and the downstairs' blanket had a hole in. when we unfolded it a dirty used plaster fell out. Bathroom had broken tiles. the Shower in the downstairs bathroom's drain was so blocked, the water took forever to drain out. When we arrived the DB was not on and we did not have electricity for hours. obviously hadnt been turned on before our arrival. small, smelly unmatched towels. the house is shabby. No light in the main lounge area so we couldnt sit at the dining room table to have a meal at night. our complaints were taken to Owen the Host whose attitude left a lot to be desired. He asked us what did we expect for the price that we were paying. we also enquired about an extra toilet roll and were told that they only supply one toilet roll per bathroom for the duration of our stay and we would therefore have to provide our own. we had to pay R390-00 cash for a cleaning service which was not a problem, but to find the house unacceptably grubby when we arrived made us question how this money is spent for a cleaning service.
