Pinfold Holiday Cottage

Cottage had everything needed for an enjoyable, comfortable stay. Excellent facilities in a lovely quiet location. Beds really comfy, shower really good. Hot water constantly available. Kitchen we'll equipped.

Nothing to dislike

The location was brilliant. Lovely walk right opposite the cottage that we did on the first night. It's close to the stocks resevoir in Gisburn Forest which was a lovely day out too. The cottage was so cute and cosy us and the dogs enjoyed it. Sami was quick with communications aswell!

The only downfall was the height of the garden walls but that's only because of the size of my dogs. They kept trying to push the gate open because they wanted to go back on their walks 😂

Sadly the best part of the stay was leaving.

I often use this site to book accommodation, this is the lowest rating I’ve given to any accommodation. Not worth the money whatsoever. Very disappointed. Late check in 4.30 pm. Host was rude. Most unhelpful when I messaged her. She advised that late check in was due to her other work commitments as a teacher. We live in a rural part of Wales, but this was something else, it’s is literally in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do! We stayed just one night and paid for 4! Beds were sunken to allow for headspace. Expected to strip beds on departure. With spinal issues and arthritis this was a very difficult task. Given the ‘rurality’ a pint of milk or some basic essentials would have been instead of driving 40 minutes to a shop. Poor water pressure in shower. Cleanliness could have been better. Overall a really disappointing stay and would not recommend to anyone.

Peaceful and Quirky

There did not appear to be any bins external to the property other than a recycling bin & with me being asked to empty internal bins on leaving I found this to be a problem.

Really lovely cottage. Well thought out and has everything you need. Beds really comfortable and right opposite oath to forest for dog walking

Nothing we didn't like

Lovely little cottage in the middle of nowhere. Great if you want piece and quiet and to get away from it all

Didn’t like the late check in an early check out. If you were going for one night it just wouldn’t be worth it. 11-12 am would be more convenient. Don’t mind cleaning the log burner after use but asking to strip beds and empty bins is hard faced. You go away for a break, not do housework.
