Skye Lair

This immaculate accommodation is spacious with an understated elegance. We could relax in comfort and take in the fabulous view (when it wasn’t raining). The owner very thoughtfully provided everything needed for our stay from a well equipped kitchen (with coffee pods - thank you!), comfortable beds, a small couch by the large living room window that my daughter loved, and a nice wood burning stove that we enjoyed during the cool evenings. The house is very quiet and located away from the main tourist areas on Skye, but these are about an hour’s drive away and easily accessible. It is just a short walk to the Torabhaig Distillery which has nice daily tours. Internet access is fast, reliable, and worked great during early morning business meetings. We also appreciated the welcome gifts of a bottle of nice wine, delicious local chocolate, and a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers. Our recommendation for a great vacation is to just stay here as long as you can.

I loved everything about this property! The setting was peaceful and serene, lush and green; the view was spectacular; and the house was beautiful, modern, warm and inviting and had everything you needed!

Everything was great.

Everything! It was very comfortable and well stocked with what we needed to cook. The beds were comfortable and I really appreciated Melanie reaching out asking if my kids would want the beds separated. Overall just an amazing house with a priceless view!

The rest of the house was beautiful, very well presented, and exceptionally comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the towels were fluffy and luxurious, comparable to a five-star hotel. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, and the owner was very thoughtful and hospitable, with a welcome bottle of wine and local organic chocolate, which was a lovely touch.

The washing machine/dryer was not working during our stay, and the water pressure in the showers were quite weak.
