Casa de Flores

We had an excellent experience staying at Casa de Flores for a 3-day weekend. It’s perfect for our family and I highly recommend this place. 1) Safety is our number one concern. It’s gated and Augusto locked the gate at night and he’s there to watch it when we’re out. He said that he knows everyone in the community. 2) Privacy is a bonus. Only my family occupied the entire compound during our stay. 3) Six toilets (4 have showers) really helped. 4) Large dining room and kitchen with fridge, stove, utensils, plates, pots, rice cooker, etc. We cooked our own meals sometimes. 5) Isolation helped me manage 10 nieces and nephews (Gen Z and millennials). I instructed our driver not to drive anyone without my approval, especially at night. There are no bars nearby, so we basically hangout inside (no troubles). 6) Augusto kept the whole place clean. 7) Easy access to Bolo Beach (3-minute walk) and a huge cottage with Karaoke. 8) Augusto and Franklin helped us avoid the big crowds in Lucap Wharf by getting the large boat directly from Bolo Beach, so we could tour the 100 Islands easily and early (6 AM). 9) Franklin was our tour guide provided by Casa de Flores. He knew where to go first (rent snorkeling gears), best views on top, zip lining, helmeting, banana boat rides, kayaking, best spots for snorkeling, access to a white beach in Romulo Island, where to eat, etc. We were first in line for most of these activities because Franklin had the skills to get us there at the appropriate times. 10) Augusto and Franklin helped us buy fresh fish, fresh coconuts, mangoes, etc. To Augusto and Franklin, we greatly appreciate all your help and for making our 3-day weekend memorable.

The caretaker was very helpful with our needs. All bedrooms had A/C.

There wasn't any A/C for the main rooms of the house, only in the Bedrooms. Woke up to zero water pressure and could not flush the toilets. The pressure eventually came back after the caretaker made adjustments.

I sincerely Thank owner for appointing Augusto Ragudos as a caretaker of the property. He is exceptionally well who was always there to help, assist us in buying stuff from the nearby convenience store. When there was an issue of electricity, he alone moved bedding to the terrace so that we can sleep. Very prompt in cleaning the kitchen and overall place. He was always available whenever needed including provided water in buckets for us to take a bath when the water pressure was too low in the premises.

This place is surrounded by Chickens, Roosters (Fighters) screaming whole night, that noise is too loud. Due to which we couldn't able to sleep. In fact that entire area is surrounded by fighter roosters and the overall atmosphere is noisy. Our intention was to go there o relax but couldn't achieved the purpose for which we traveled hence very disappointing. The water pressure is too low to take a bath.

My eldest son called it a beautiful mansion. Kuya Augusto is excellent.

The Villa is spacious, and homely. There are private bathrooms for each bedroom, and a communal toilet on both floors. The Villa is located in a small, coastal village. The locals are humble and friendly. The caretaker, Augusto took very good care of us, and helped us with finding transportation to and from the Hundred Islands. His knowledge and guidance helped us a great deal.

The bedrooms really need at the very least a simple rod extending from a wall, with clothes hangers so that clothes can be removed from bags and luggage. There should also be a thin comforter/blanket provided for each bed in case of cooler nights. This will save on the energy bill. Ceiling fans in the common living areas would be great also, however, floor and pedestal fans are provided. We enjoyed our stay regardless of these things.

not located on the beach as advertised. 5 min walk on a dirt road. very remote location 30 min from the city. lots and lots of roosters next door so very difficult to sleep. no hot water. drains clogged. thin towels.

I didn’t meet the host. The host is too important that they sent their “boy” to meet us. He was good though. He was just doing his job. The picture that shows in the internet is just half of what is “acceptable” to show online. Half of this compound still has rebar sticking out of the house. Construction materials are still on the ground. Woods that has nails and aluminum sheets are just sitting on the corner. No hot water. The house is in the middle of a very poor town that is not conducive for tourists. Perhaps local tourists but definitely NOT for some international tourists family. OMG! Also the house is surrounded with other houses that all they do is groom a rooster for some sort of cockfighting. You cannot sleep well because of the sound of the roosters so very early in the morning. Thanks for the roof over our heads for one night, but that’s all there is to it. Will not recommend to anyone foreigners.

The house is great and the host is very accommodating. we really enjoy the holiday on the beach and visiting the islands.
