Great villa with semi-private beach access. Great terrace view. Most kitchen amenities you want but non-stacked, even the basics like oil and pepper had to be bought.

The stay was fine until the check-out. It was agreed upon at 11h. A quarter to nine, the first maid showed up and made a sour face when we told her that we weren't ready for clean-up as it was our last hour in that house and we were busy packing and chilling, alternately. At nine, the chief maid (left hand of the owner, Frederic, who was rarely seen) showed up in the "private" terrace garden and kindly asked if the maid could "change only the bedsheets". Reluctantly, we agreed. Result was that the maid proceeded from the bedsheets to the restrooms and to the dishwasher and started the whole program while being incommunicado. This messed up our checkout process. Stressed us. We finally got the maid out but we could have easily done with a peaceful checkout process terminating at the agreed upon time. We had to hand over the splendid villa at eleven, I had it black on white, but they bothered us starting before nine. Nuff said. You be the judge.

After visiting so many places and running in different directions on this trip, the last two days at Frederick’s place finally felt like a *real holiday*. The setting is perfect — in a peaceful, beautiful neighbourhood, right on a stunning beach that feels almost private. The next day, I was even surprised with a free upgrade — such a thoughtful touch. What impressed me most was how spotless both the studio and the apartment were. All credit goes to **Farida**, who works tirelessly to keep everything shining and welcoming. She is the heart of this place, and her efforts made our stay so comfortable. Frederick, the owner, is equally wonderful — warm, kind, and always making sure we felt at home. From his thoughtful recommendations to his easy communication, he made everything effortless. The location itself is ideal, close to serene spots like Mahébourg and Gris Gris, yet only 10 minutes from the airport — catching an early morning flight was a breeze. This stay ended our trip on the most perfect note. With Frederick’s hospitality and Farida’s dedication, it truly felt like home. I can’t wait to return.

Nothing that I did not like

Perfect view of the blue bay. The most gorgeous two cats in the world!!! Very big turtles in the yard, no need to go to the zoo.

Network is poor, but is about to be fixed as far as I know.

Prachtige locatie met fenomenaal uitzicht op de lagune, ruim comfortabel en goed uitgerust huis. Fijne locatie op loopafstand van strand en fijn restaurant en bakker in de straat. Kids dol op huisdieren 2 katten en 3 landschildpadden

L'emplacement à la mer et la place de parc ainsi que la terrasse

Matelas trop dur et peu de luminosité dans l'appartement. Mobilier un peu vieillot

Lage... traumhaft

Great location with walking distance to Blue Bay. It was a perfect spot to stay prior to catching a flight. There are some good cafes nearby and the beach is right at the front of the property. Swimming at Blue Bay is wonderful. The hosts were lovely and accommodating and we felt at home.
