Low Nook Farm Holiday Cottage

The location is beautiful, the house is very well maintained and fantastically clean. The garden is gorgeous.

The host was not happy that we were staying for just one night, she blamed booking for permitting this and also she was not keen that we had taken a dog, denied having received our enquiry about us taking our small dog along with us. We could have done with a bit more crockery and glasses.

This was a return visit to this stunning and charming cottage, located in a perfect, picturesque location. Peace and quiet all around. Just the sound of the sheep in the nearby field, and the adorable Peacock, Pepe! 😊 It is the perfect getaway. Lovely walks on the doorstep, and local history and trails within a 10-minute drive. The cottage is immaculately clean, and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. Wonderful comfy bed, log fire for chilly nights. Lovely outside patio and seating areas to make the most of the weather and stunning views. Lorraine and James are the perfect hosts, on hand when you anything. I can't list everything we loved, it's never ending. I highly recommend. We didn't want to leave!

Low Nook is lovely and the cottage is interesting. The gardens around the cottage are a nice place to sit in the sunshine.

The beds were very cold to get into as there were only summer sheets on the bed. Also, maybe some softer pillows on the beds? Perhaps an extra heater that you can switch on in front of you whilst sitting on the sofas watching TV instead of lighting the fire. It was very cold.

The property is traditional. Loved the wooden beams. Fantastic well maintained private garden. Everything you need to hand for a self catering property. The host was very helpful and accommodating as my party arrived early for the booking. Loved the little personal touches inside. In the evening the stars all came out and with the property being in such a none polluted lighting area you had such an amazing view. And the animals running to greet you on arrival of an evening was also wonderful especially Pedro the peacock.

Such a beautiful setting. Fabulous gardens, entertaining peacocks. Stunning house.

There was nothing to dislike...just wish I'd had longer!

This was a lovely cottage in a stunning area. The cottage was very comfortable set in lovely farmland. It was very close to Hadrians Wall, Carlisle and the Lakes.
