The host gave us a very warm welcome. The property was already nice and warm with a fire lit ready for when we arrived

We couldn’t fault the property. If anything the photos don’t do the property justice

Wanted a couple of nights away close to Thursford for the Christmas spectacular. After a bleak drive across country to find this gem of a place, we were greeted with a warm cottage and the log burner was lit for us. Very cosy. The lemon cake, milk, tea and coffee was more than we expected for a couple of nights stay. With temperatures dropping to -4 this was an ideal place to be. Very quiet though not far from main roads

Really cosy cottage, great location, quiet, really comfy bed, very clean

Just a suggestion: the laminated sheet for the wood burner was not found / was missing.

Only thing which would be a useful addition would be a clock. There is one on the cooker but it was an hour fast.
