La casetta del pescatore

Quasi tutto, super accessoriata, cucina completa di forno, kettle, frigorifero grande con congelatore, lavatrice (lava/asciuga), televisore a parete mobilio molto carino e accogliente. Molto carino anche il bagno con box doccia e bidet, fon, stendi panni asse da stiro e per finire kit ombrello da spiaggia.

This is a cozy apartment, very well located in Ortigia. We found it very clean and well decorated, and overall enjoyed our stay on the island and how easy it was to walk around.

Some things to make the experience even better for the guests: 1) Attention on the check-in: even after informing about my arrival time on the day before and when in the train to Syracuse, had to wait for 35 minutes for someone to appear with keys. Excuse of "I didn't see the notifications on my phone" not very professional, and after a very long trip with luggage, waiting with no answer was not the best way to arrive. 2) Since this is a one-room apartment, I understand the choice of a sofa bed, but it is not really comfortable to sleep. It would be better to sleep in a real bed. 3) We missed basic kitchen supplies (like salt, oil). This is a detail but it would help to have it available. 4) The shower area is super small.

Great little house which was perfect for our stay in Ortigia. Sofa bed was a little uncomfortable but for a few nights It was okay. The house was so close to everything, the centre, the sea and the car park nearby. We were also provided with some excellent restaurant choices.

The host is really really nice - he met us to give us the keys of the apartment. He also explained us a bit about Syracuse, tips on where to eat, have a drink, see the sunset. The apartment was really clean and had everything you needed (including the hair dryer). It is really close to everything so you can just walk around - the bus/ train station is around 15-20’min away. I would not recommend using the car as the police gave a loot of fines while we were there - there is a private parking close to the apartment (take it into consideration).

Nothing to complain as it is not related to the property. It was a little bit noisy outside - as people were even chilling on the entrance stairs.

Host advice not to throw toilet paper in toilet bowl because of possible block. Has to dispose soiled toilet paper in waste basket. Sleeping in a sofa bed is not very comfortable

Perfect location, free parking near the flat, warm welcome, cozy style, good communication with the owner. All together it was perfect for 2 nights.

A bit cold, the AC was not really enough to warm up the flat. The bed was too soft for our taste and the shower was a little rusty.
