The property is gorgeous and would be ideal for multiple families, as there is a large common area with a lounge, dining room, kitchen and pizza oven, pool, and jacuzzi as well as outdoor relaxation and playground (jungle gym and chess board). The unit was nice and had adequate space, with 2 bedrooms, a sitting area with TV and wifi, and a small kitchenette (with a toaster oven with 2 hot plates, a fridge and very basic supplies for meals). There are very pretty views of the mountains and the location was extremely convenient -- right between Hout Bay and Llandudno Beach (our favorite in that area: see the pictures I uploaded here). It is only 20 min from the Botanical Garden and downtown Cape Town... and less than 10 min to the beach. The house manager is on site to receive/welcome you and is always available for any assistance you may need. The owners were highly communicative, even offering additional services if we would like them.

Some aspects of the facilities -- especially the outdoor picnic bench, the rug in the jacuzzi area -- are rundown and are overdue for replacement. The sofa-bed and cot could also be upgraded, for even better comfort. The pathway behind the hotel, which takes kids from the room to the playground is full of debris that is dangerous for children and should be removed. A thorough clean-up and purchase of new carpet & furniture could easily take the place to the next level up.

Really brilliant hot tub and the best swimming pool we had experienced in a property, beautiful gardens, extremely helpful, kind and friendly staff - James was absolutely lovely and looked after us so well.

There were a few issues with the room, which the hosts did their best to sort out.

Spacious and comfortable guesthouse with beautiful garden, swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. James, the manager, was always ready to see to our needs.

Super kind staff onsite. Safe area (security at the gate overnight). Garden is extraordinary. Definitively a recommendation!!

Essentially nothing. Maybe rooms may need a little make-over.
