Walnut Cottage, Turangi/Tongariro

Newish kitchen. Quiet neighborhood, so sleep was not disturbed. Extensive info about the property, including owners manuals for all appliances. Owner was responsive to our needs (the house hadn't been cleaned yet at the time we arrived, which was not earlier than the established arrival time).

Property was showing its age somewhat (e.g.,some cracked walls). Could see daylight around the main entry door, so it may be chilly in colder months. The laundry appliances are in the bathroom, which can be inconvenient if you have several people lodging. (On the other hand, it was nice having laundry facilities on-site.)

Lovely place for a quiet break. Well kitted out.

Minor point only but the house could do with some bedside lights.

Perfectly secure, warm and comfortable property, close to everything in Turangi.

The home was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Everything you need is already there, from the kitchen utensils, beds have electric blankets, fire place, outdoor seating & BBQ, Sky tv and more.

Everything was perfect.

It was great to find a manual/guide folder to help navigate all appliances, devices. Easy to read and very detailed of everything. Appreciate all the extra essentials anyone needs the comforts of home ie: items in pantry, soap powder, wood&firestarters, so many extras more than we expected. Was great to connect your chromecast so effortlessly. Plenty of bedding, towels, teatowels. Have stay in a few accommodations North and South. Walnut Cottage was by far the best catered place by far.

Only downfall was bathroom with no lock, but easy fix (have washing basket by door) Drainage shower, just shower and have plug out so it does not fill up. Found window latch hard to close (dinning area)

It felt just like home ☺️ it had everything we needed and kept our boys busy with the toys for hours

The bathroom needs some sort of lock other than that everything was good
