Asanogawa 旅音

It was quiet and had all the facilities we needed. Nice view and comfortable places to sit. Beds were comfortable and heating was both upstairs and downstairs worked well

The front door was not very secure with the mailbox that could be easily opened from the outside and there are two abandoned properties across the street. As the beds were upstairs it was a little uncomfortable leaving our belongings unattended downstairs and we had to make sure all our valuables were upstairs with us

Good location

Unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. The whole apartment needs serious refreshment. Spider webs everywhere, windows very old and dirty, wallpaper with dirty stains, and the strong smell of old tatami all over the place. Some parts like a bathroom and a toilet couldn't be warmed so were always cold. Don't recommend and regret booking this place although it looks nice on photos:(

The staircase was very narrow and needed a handrail as toilet was downstairs

Great little house, terrace overlooking the river, 15min walk from everything. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Good bathroom and laundry. Gave us a taste of living like locals. Would stay here again and again. Loved it.
