casa vacanze Bolgheri (Toscana)

The views were fantastic and the home was everything expected. It was a nice part of our trip to use a washing machine for getting our clothes cleaned. (Huge bonus) I would think a stay here in warmer times of the year would really benefit the use of the patios with the terrific views. Being here in the off season was as if the entire town catered to us. It was a very short walk to dinner each night, A car to reach this location is a must! Parking was free and it allowed us to get out of town to visit some of the local wineries in the area.

Nothing can be said about not loving this place! My only disappointment of visiting Bolgheri, was that Sassicaia and Orma did not allow visits, hospitality, or any sort of wine tour/tasting. I may have diverted more time to other areas in Tuscany had I known before booking Bolgheri. A major reason I booked Bolgheri was to visit these wineries. However, we discovered many places that were more than welcoming and informative to the area. I should have done more research on which wineries to visit.

The owner's responsiveness was very poor. We booked more than a month and a half prior to arriving but arrived 2 hours earlier than we predicted. We advised the host of our phone, but he/she didn't call. We sent email and Booking-mail to the hosts, but the hosts didn't respond. Hosts didn't answer our phone calls. We lost 4 hours of calling and emailing before they finally answered the phone - 2 hours after we told them initially when we would arrive. Very poor welcome indeed!

The property is a two story condo close to town. There is a parking space and ample room in the 2 bedroom and 1 bath condo. It had a washing machine which was helpful but no dryer so don’t do your clothes in the late afternoon because they won’t. dry. we were lucky that the sun came out for about 3 hours before we had to leave this am. Bed is a queen and comfortable, no AC but we left the windows open. The outdoor space of this condo is very nice and it it is a very short walk into the small quaint town of Bolgheri.
