The home, perched on a hillside facing the ocean, is absolutely stunning. The views are gorgeous, the home is authentically historic with just enough modern upgrades to make it comfortable. The second floor’s toilet is very convenient and the deck is wonderful.

There is not much to dislike. There are bugs and you have to be diligent about keeping the sliding doors fully closed or they get in. Well, they tend to get in anyway as the home is not “tight” but the property is upfront about this. If a few bugs make you squeamish then this isn’t for you. Also, given its high perch, there is a lot of climbing steps and steeps hills to get here from town. It’s not the most “accessible” spot so if mobility is a challenge then this may not be appropriate.

This is the place to stay with family or friends., not a single traveler.

Former second house of a wealthy family. It makes you feel at home.

Sunada met me at the bus stop and walked me to the property. The location is perfect and the view of the harbor wonderful. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I wish I had stayed longer.

Amazing house overlooking the harbour, lovely decoration, confortable, quiet, traditional japanese with nice tradicional bathroom. The parking is 200mt far from the house and there is a stairs to reach the house so could be difficult for people with mobility problems or small children. Anyway the house sure worth the stairs and it is a very nice experience
