HERMANUS , SANDBAAI holiday house

The massive kitchen and indoor and outdoor patio is amazing, the view of the ocean is amazing! The rooms are massive and there's plenty space for the dogs. Extremely well worth the stay and we have found our new holiday destination.

Beautiful location near the sea. Lovely deck and braai area with enough comfortable seating for all the guests.

There was sand on the floors especially in the bedrooms downstairs the first day. Was not cleaned properly. The quality of towels and linen is not good. Towels are very small. All the knives are VERY blunt. I went to the shops and bought my own. There is only one rack in the oven which limits the capacity of food you can cook or warm up at once. They should mention that you have to bring your own lamps/candles etc to cope with loadshedding.

Great location, if you dont absolutely want to be in Hermanus itself. 2min walk to the sea (rocks, not a beach), with wonderful sea views from the large terrace. A very spacious home, large dining/living room area and semi-indoor/outdoor area sheltered from the wind, if there should be too much wind on terrace.

Some more dishes (such as more muesli bowls) would be great. Electric Stove is quite slow and with frequent load shedding in South Africa a gas stove would be super useful. Bit of a smell of pets (cats?) in the downstairs area - got better when opening all windows to thoroughly air out.

The location was absolutely perfect and we had a very nice view of the ocean. Everything was very comfortable and convenient.

There was garbage bags in the garage from the previous people which could have been removed beforehand There could have been more open cupboards to store food in.
